TWO WEEKS LATER

The slow beeping from the heart monitor was the only thing that could be heard throughout the cold hospital room of Memorial Herman Texas Medical Center.

Her eyes laid upon him as she watched him rest in the hospital bed. She had just gotten here and knew he would soon awake at any given moment.

She hated being here. The hospital gave her a weird and eerie feeling. The smell of death and sickness lingered up and down the entire hospital. All this shit just made her sick to her stomach.

"Didn't I tell you bout coming in here and staring at a nigga like something wrong with me." He said, his eyes were now open as he looked directly towards his sister; Danielle.

He knew when people came in and out of his room. He was a light sleeper and with him being in here he didn't even sleep he just rested.

"Something is really fucking wrong with you." Danielle said, as she looked at her older brother, Gino.

She despised Gino's attitude.

You would think someone in his situation would humble himself but not him.

"The nurse said you're able to go home today but all that moving around your used to doing has to be put on hold." She said, as she typed away on her phone.

"What time they said I could leave?" He asked.

"After she comes back with the discharge papers. She been left out so she shouldn't be long." She said, as the door opened up and in walked their older brother; Gus.

He walked in holding a duffel filled with clothes for Gino to return home in.

As Gino attempted to quickly rise up from the bed both of his siblings quickly went to his aid.

"Fuck." He cursed, at the pain he was feeling. His arm was in the arm sling restricting him from doing much.

"I'm good." He said, as he jerked away from them.

Danielle and Gus both shook their heads at their brother's stubbornness. He had been that way since they were kids.

Gino was the most independent out of the three even though they were all independent.

Gino just felt like he didn't need nobody for shit. His upbringing had played a big part in the way he was.

"You could deal with this shit. I'm going to the shop I'll see y'all later." Danielle said, as she grabbed her nude Louis Vuitton On The Go MM tote, hugging Gus, before leaving out. Danielle ain't have time for this shit.

Ignoring Danielle. He grabbed the clothes that were on the hospital bed before walking into the bathroom with a slight limp that was cause from being shot in the knee a few years back. He meant that when he said it wasn't his first time being shot.

As he carefully took his time to put on his clothes he became frustrated. He couldn't do shit with this sling on his arm.

Plus he was short of breath from being shot in the chest. His breathing quickly recovered but the doctor stated that he would have a shortness of breath.

"Fuck this shit." He said, as he hit the counter top with his free hand. "I need the nurse." Gino said, as he peeked his head out the door.

Gus nodded his head before pressing the buttons on the remote to alert the nurse.

Less than five minutes the nurse had came and began to tend to Gino.

Taking her time with him as she helped him get dressed. Gino knew it wasn't much he could do with this slinky on his arm. This shit needed to go fast.
