"If it ain't one thing, it's a motherfuckin' 'nother."

Gino embedded his teeth into his bottom lip, something he did out of habit. He was seated in the chair behind his desk in his office of the community center.

Unfortunately, Brandon had gotten arrested. According to the lawyer; He had a warrant out for his arrest. Being charged with first degree murder, armed robbery, and now a possession of a firearm by a felon. And to make matters worse, someone would be testifying against him in court. Which not only meant Brandon might be going down , but Gino and Gus as well and including everyone else who had some type of involvement.

Gino had a lot on his plate; With today being the opening of the community center and back to school bash. He had been busy all morning make sure everything was in place for today. Like he hoped, construction work for the center was finished just in time. He was impressed that they finished a month's worth of work in just a week.

"It ain't too many people who know what we got going on so who the fuck could it be?" Gus asked, rhetorically which was true. They all made sure they kept what they had going on in the family.

"We need to figure it out cause whoever it is gotta go. Before niggas get to talking." Trell stated, Gus looked at him shaking his head.

"We can't go fucking with no witnesses. The minute we do that we giving them every bit of fair game to point the finger at us." Gino said, he was all about finding out who did it but this was the system they were dealing with.

When it came to the streets it was a whole different story. Treading lightly was their only option until all this blows over but how could you tread light when you didn't know who to trust.

"I'm gone get out of here. I'll see y'all in a lil while." Gus said, as he stood up dapping the men off. "I'm right behind you." Trell says, standing up as well the two said their goodbyes before leaving out of Gino's new office.

Gino looked at the time on the IMac Desktop; 10:45 AM read the time. Standing up from behind the desk, he grabbed his phone and keys before parting ways from behind the desk and out of his office. Locking up behind himself he walked out the exit door and towards his 2021 Cadillac Escalade.

Gino knew he was pushing for time. He was nowhere near ready; he still had yet to go the barbershop. Having to drive way across town just to go home and also get Chace.

This morning's news just pushed him back on time a whole lot something he didn't like. Gino hated being late; he was on time for everything. Being late showed how unprofessional you were in his mind frame. Especially for an event he was hosting.

He always found himself trying to do too much at one time. Gino slid into the seats of his Cadillac; starting it with the press of a button before pulling off. As Kendrick Lamar's 'Money Trees' blared through the speakers of his truck.

"Hit the streets, then we break the code? No way." He rapped, bobbed his head to the music, as his right hand was on the steering wheel while his left hand was resting underneath his chin. He pulled up to the barbershop in no time; he parked infront of the barbershop.

Seeing the usual D-boys on the corner; lusting after the young girls and playing around. Doing what they do best. Stepping out the car; he adjusted his pants on his waist, he wore a grimace plastered on his face as he nodded at all of those who spoke to him. Gino ain't have a friendly bone in his body.

Walking into the barbershop and heading straight for the empty seat. He dapped off his barber before taking a seat.

"How you feeling?" His barber, Leroy said. Leroy an older man who owned the barbershop; he'd been cutting Gino's hair since he was a child.
