The sound of the Glock 17 being cocked shook the young man up. From what he could see out of his peripheral was the gun inching closer and closer to his temple. He couldn't make out much from the face or who the person even was on the other side of the gun. The room was dark with only a small source of light that came from a window. What made it even worse is that the man was dressed in all black. Which was the only thing he could possibly make out of him.
"How the fuck you let Trell get you caught up in this shit?" Gino scoffed but in a very humorous manner.
See when it came to Trell he loved making people his pawn in his game of chess. He was the type of nigga who had people do his dirty work for him but not exactly tell them what they were getting into. An example of a crash dummy.
"I swear I ain't know." The young man said which was true but ask Gino did he give a damn. Everything was all about consequences with him. He didn't care if he didn't know what he was getting himself into. In his eyes he shouldn't let no man send him on any mission without knowing everything and that was something he could relate to with Shai as well.
Now Trell he was taking things too far. Which he expected but not quite. The young man thought he was hitting a very well deserved lick but instead he got jammed up. He was sent to rob Gino but was met with the barrel of the gun thinking nobody would be presence since that what was told to him.
See what I'm getting at here? Trell is becoming a problem. He knew he should've handled it himself but he promised his father he wouldn't. Ask if that promise is still standing?
This had been the first time Trell had attempted to do anything since their fallout. He was trying to let the situation ride as much as possible but how could he. Him being family had went out the window especially when he disrespected Reyna. Now he was getting people involved into his shit.
The young man pleads. Hoping his cries didn't fall on death ears and they did especially once Gino pulled that trigger. He watched as he quickly slumped over from the impact. Gino still held the gun up near him. He couldn't help but to look for a moment. The same feeling was there.
As he lowered the gun, he removed the clip before handing both the gun and the clip to one of the men who helped disposed. He then pulled the gloves off of his hands. He took a step back. His eyes still fell upon the young man, staring.
This was starting to get old. It seemed like it was always something. He knew what came with what he was doing. Losing people physically and mentally.
Gino looked off to the side before leaving out without saying a word. As he walked out of the back door he was met with the cool air. The sun was beginning to set which he knew it had to be around six. Shorter days and longer nights.
As he climbed into the Cadillac Escalade. He didn't sit for too long as he pulled off with ease. Riding through the neighborhood of Third Ward Houston, he seen many Christmas lights and decorations decorated the homes of the residents in the community. The holidays were nearing. They were three weeks in to December and it was a countdown to Christmas.
Usually he wasn't for the holidays of course he loved celebrating with his family but without Gus things wouldn't be the same. Especially since it was his favorite holiday, Thanksgiving was already hard on there family but he could say he enjoyed it especially since Reyna was in his life. They spent Thanksgiving with his family.
He could say he was in the Christmas spirit but there was this feeling that just hung over him. Something he tried so hard to mask cause he didn't quite know what it could be. Gino thought it was him still in the grieving process but it was much deeper then that.
