ONE WEEK LATER
Floetry 'Say Yes' played from the speakers that were installed throughout the salon.
The shop had been closed for a week. Reyna wanted everybody to enjoy their holiday and decided to close the shop. She even gave each of her employees a generous pay for the inconvenience of her closing the salon.
Especially since the work they did at the shop was their only source of income.
The salon had been real busy today. Everybody and their mama was prepping themselves for the upcoming New Year. Each client had been desiring a new look for the New Year.
Many had plans on attending events tonight to bring in the year.
Mia would be one of them, she had been sitting in the chair for at least a hour and a half as Reyna stood behind her installing the extensions. She had been watching TikTok videos to past time and engaging in the conversations with the women of the shop every now and then.
She had decided to switch it up from her usual. She had convinced Reyna to install fourty inches of Raw Vietnamese. Mia wanted something different for the new year. While Reyna thought it was too much.
Mia wanted to look good tonight for Gino's uncle Tre party. She had received the okay from Reyna and Gino since both were going to be in attendance.
She didn't expect them to allow her to attend Tre's party tonight. Well Reyna wasn't too sure about the ideal of it at first. She felt like Mia was too young. She may have been of age but everyone would would be attending was much older.
Reyna didn't really care for the idea of Mia going to the party. When she first asked Reyna shut the idea down.
She wasn't sure if the eighteen year old girl would be able to handle herself in the environment but Gino assured her everything will be fine.
Mia wasn't a rebellious young woman. She could be naive at times but she wasn't a fool.
Their would be actives of drinking and smoking. The feeling was just unsettling for her.
Everybody in the hood had been speaking of Tre's party. It was basically his coming home and birthday celebration. He had been home for almost a month now.
The Kenra Professional products and the quality of the Raw Vietnamese extensions had her install looking very sleek and natural.
The extensions were colored jet black to blend effortlessly with her natural hair.
"Stand up for me right quick Mia..." Reyna trails off as she picked up the shears and the cutting comb. Mia did as told.
As she moved from behind the chair and positioned Mia to stand straight up.
Reyna took the shears and began cutting in blunt line while using the comb for a guide. She didn't cut much only to given at even blunt look which made the install look cleaner in her opinion. She did this with all her clients and they loved it.
The chimes on the door went off as soon as someone entered the shop. Reyna pulled her attention away from what she was doing to glance over in the direction of the door. There stood a man with a large bouquet of flowers. His shirt read Bloom and Box in white writing.
"A delivery for Mia." The man says as everyone's attention casted on Mia.
Reyna looked directly at Mia who stood their shyly.
"That would be me." Mia speaks up.
The man brings the flowers to Mia before leaving out of the shop.
