"What time you think you gon' be finish with yo' last appointment baby girl?" He asked, as he looked over at Reyna whom sat in the passenger seat. The two had just left Cassy's Kitchen and now they were enroute to the shop. "My last appointment is for five I think. Lemme' check." She said, as she unlocked her phone. Seeing that her last appointment was for five she locked her phone.
"Yeah, it's for five so I'll be finished round seven depending on how my clients beforehand go, why?" She asked, as she dropped her phone in her purse. Reyna looked over at Gino, his left hand gripped the steering wheel while his chin rested. He looked good driving, the way the muscles in his jaw flexed. He was focused as if he was in deep thought.
"I got tickets for the Hawks vs. Rockets game tonight and we going." He said, as he she looked over at him she couldn't even hide the smile that was forming against her lips.
Reyna remember telling Gino on one of her rides home that she loved basketball and the fact that he wanted to take her to her first game gave him cool points in her book.
She liked a man who took notes.
"And not to put you in the blind I'm bringing my son." He said, as he looked over at Reyna. Her smile quickly dropped.
"How does his mother feel bout you bringing me around her son? You don't think you moving too fast?" She questioned, she just didn't agree with it. Especially since she felt like it was way too soon for her to be meeting his son.
Gino felt the same way. He never brought females around his son cause they were temporary not even Saniya and she had been around longer than anybody he ever came across besides Essence.
"How you figure that I'm moving too fast? I don't usually bring anybody round my son so you gotta be somebody for me to bring you around him and Essence knows that. We discussed it." He said, as looked between her and the road.
"At least let me get to know you before letting me meet your son, Gino. I don't know you like that and you bringing me around your son just something I don't think I'm ready for. I'ma sit this one out." She said, as she shook her head.
Reyna just wouldn't feel right meeting his son knowing that she was playing get back with his father. She was already doing some grimy shit.
"Reyna I understand where ya' coming from but don't think too deep into the shit. If I ain't feel like you shouldn't be around my son then the idea wouldn't even been brought to yo' attention." He said, causing her to shake her head.
Gino was too much of a good person and she was starting to think what she was doing wasn't even worth it anymore.
It wasn't going to bring Keith back so why do it. When she came up with the idea she was hurt but now she was starting to realize shit was moving too fast. She didn't want to get her feelings invested either cause then it would be a wraps.
"I don't care how you feel. Like I said I'ma sit this one out." She said, as she grabbed her things being that he was pulling up to the shop.
Like usual the young and the old were on the corner bright and early.
"You going and that's end of discussion." He chuckled, as Reyna nodded her head with a small smirk. She wasn't even gone give his ass an response.
Gino parked infront of Danielle's shop, getting out and walking around he opened the door. Reyna stepped out the car. Closing the door behind her.
Reyna went to walk towards the entrance of the shop but was quickly pulled back by Gino.
"You gone leave without telling a nigga bye?" He asked, as he held a smirk on his face. Gino held her by her waist as he looked down at her. Reyna loved how tall he was.
