Okay so our first date didn't go exactly as planned, in fact, it turned into a complete and utter disaster. Honestly, I don't even know what else I expected at this point. So here is how it all started.

After I got dressed at my own house I walked across the street to Jade's and went to see if she was ready yet. I walked into the house without knocking per usual and tried to make it upstairs, but I didn't make it that far.

"Hey," Kenzie got up from the couch and walked over to me.

"Hey." I forced a smile.

You see, as you may have noticed ever since I kissed Kenzie that one time I have been trying to steer clear of her, mostly because things are awkward around us ever since she told me she likes me as more than a friend. She knows I like Jade but now Jade and I are together. And we haven't gotten around to telling everyone yet. I mean we have only been together one day, and Jade was at my house all day yesterday.

"You seem to be in a better mood." She pointed out.

"Hehe, yeah, the mood is better." I hate myself, why do I have to be awkward?

Kenzie raised an eyebrow at me.

"Um, I don't know if you know but, you see... Um..."

"Hey, I'm ready!" Jade ran downstairs and right up to me and kissed me.

I stumbled back but quickly kissed her back. She giggled at me when she pulled back and saw my red face.

"Oh," Kenzie said.

I felt guilty. If there is one thing I regret most in this entire story it's that I never gave Mackenzie James Wilson the time of day. I could tell that her natural rivalry with Jade only added salt to the wound. Jade smirked at her as if silently gloating.

"Come on, let's go." I tugged Jade's arm, I wanted out of that situation.

"Go? Where are you two going? What did I tell you about going off alone together?" Auntie comes in from the kitchen.

"Ugh! Come on, we are just going to the fair." Jade pouted.

"Rules are set for a reason, young lady. Are you just going to ignore all the rules?" Aunty crossed her arms.

"No, I—Ugh! Can Skylar and I go to the fair?" Jade rolled her eyes.

Aunty pursed her lips and eyed me, then her eyes traveled to Mackenzie who was standing miserably off to the side of us.

"Only if Mackenzie goes with you." She said.

"What! Why?" Jade said.

"Because I said so. Obviously, you two can't be trusted to listen and be alone together. So you need to be babysat."

"Seriously!?"

"It's either that or nothing Jade."

Ugh! Fine, well go get dressed then." She turned to Mackenzie.

"I don't want to go," Mackenzie smirked at her.

Jade glared at her.

"Well, you're not going unless she goes, so I guess you aren't going." Aunty walked back to the kitchen.

"Come on Kenzie, you can just do your thing and we will do our thing," Jade begged.

"Hmm no, I don't think so, sorry, not interested." She sauntered back over to the couch.

"I hate her," Jade mumbled under her breath.

"Let me try," I said.

Jade huffed and pouted, she looked very cute doing that. So I kissed her on the cheek before walking over to Kenzie. Kenzie was pretending to watch tv, she ignored me as I sat next to her on the couch.
