So now my friends, we have reached the end of the story. Well almost you still have to read this last part, but here we are. It took a lot for me to get here. To think this all started with an accidental drunken kiss. Now, I am finally with Jade and we are finally more than just friends.
So, here is the last little bit of story I will tell you.
Summer love is easy because you have nothing to do and nothing in your way preventing you from being with the one you love. Well, Summer is over, and let me tell you, fall love is hard.
On the morning of the first day back to school Jade came into my room to wake me up.
"Get up lazy bones!" she jumped up and down on my bed.
I sighed and sat up.
"Time for school, come on! Get up!" she pulled my arms.
"Okay, okay, I'm up. Just give me a second." I rubbed my eyes.
"I'll wait downstairs!" she got up and grabbed the countess, much to the cat's displeasure, and skipped downstairs.
I yawned and quickly got dressed and washed up before I walked downstairs.
"Okay, I'm ready," I said.
"Good! Now we can officially start off our senior year as a couple."
So we drove to school with Jade singing along to songs at the top of her lungs and me just bobbing my head to the beat. When we walked in, we were met with a dilemma.
"Jade over here!" her "friends" called.
"Hey, Skylar!" Demarcus waved me over.
Jade and I shared looks of horror.
We had to pick.
Jade has assured me that she and her "friends" have made amends. That she has kicked that boyfriend stealing girl out of the group. She talks to her "friends" on the phone a lot and they even hung out a few times over the summer after her birthday party. Still, I have my doubts that they are good people to be around.
Jade began to walk towards her friends and tugged me along, I took my hand away from her. She pouted at me, her silent plea for me to come with her. I stood firm and crossed my arms.
She sighed.
"I'm going to sit over there." I pointed.
"Skylar," She pouted.
"Jade I don't know those people and you know I hate confrontation," I whispered.
"Please, come on, you'll like them." She tugged on my hands.
I shook my head no.
"Fine, be that way." She huffed and stomped off to sit with her friends.
I sighed and walked over and sat at our usual table, sitting next to Wini and across from Darleen.
"Hey guys," I smiled.
"Hey, everything okay?" Parece indicated to Jade.
I glanced over at her and she was glaring at me, her friends were laughing and poking fun at her. I frowned.
"Just Jade being Jade," I said.
"What else is new." Darleen snorted in amusement.
"So who's excited for senior year!" Demarcus whooped.
"Yes, this is going to be the best. This year we are in charge of assigning the pranks. We have all the power." Archer said deviously.
"We should start brainstorming!" Wini suggested.
