Jaehyun blushed through the screen, looking at Maya smiling.
"You should get some sleep Noona, it's late over there." He said, brushing his hair back.
"And you should practice right now yet here we are." She answered.
"Yeah but in the span of a week you had the speech at the United Nations, the tonight show and Good morning America, plus you're on Tour, you should sleep while you can."
She rolled her eyes, sinking in her pillow more.
"I can't sleep, I feel so much adrenaline that I can't fall asleep, I'm always excited for the next move." She said, looking at the wall while she talked.
"I came to the concert in Seoul, you did really good." He complimented.
She chuckled, turning her head to the screen.
"Thank you.."
A knock was heard on the door, making her furrow her eyebrows.
"Wait, two seconds."
Jaehyun nodded and Maya placed the phone on the bed, opening the door.
"What is it Gguk-ah ?" She asked before laughing. "You look like a dumpling."
"Can I come in ?" He asked, dismissing what he was being compared to.
Maya pursed her lips, seperating them immediatly with a 'pop' sound.
"I'm kinda busy right now.."
"I won't bother you, I just want to hug you while I'm sleeping, insomnia is kicking my ass right now." Jungkook pleaded.
They've barely been alone in a while, which kind of scared her.
She's been intimate with Taehyung and Jimin post-breakup already. Even though she made sure it meant nothing, she knew a part of them took that as a signal that things might start again.
"Only sleeping Noona, I promise.." Jungkook asked, lowering his voice as he stood in the corridor.
She sighed, opening the door more to let him in and grabbing her earphones, plugging them on her phone.
"I'm sorry, Gguk can't sleep so.." She told Jaehyun, her phone facing away from Jungkook.
"Yeah his insomnia can get pretty bad.. Well, I kinda have to get back to practice now." He said reluctantly.
She nodded in response, watching Jungkook toss around.
"Alright, talk to you.. When ?" She asked, realizing she didn't know.
"I should be the one to ask you that, you're the overly busy one.. When will you be back ? Maybe we can meet up."
She sighed, thinking.
"I think.. Not before November, yeah.. Schedule is packed, I'll see if I can make some time."
He nodded again, taking off an earphone as he heard someone call him.
Maya took a glance at Jungkook, seeing him lay on top of her, his arms wrapping around her as he let out a sigh.
The boy was falling asleep quite quickly, his breath steady as his head resting on her chest.
"I'm sorry uh.. November ?" Jaehyun came back.
She nodded, looking at the screen.
"Yeah November, I'll see.."
"Hm.. Chanyeol-Sunbae came up to me yesterday." He said, making Maya furrow her eyebrows.
"For what ?" She asked, irritated.
Chanyeol hasn't stopped texting her since she cut him off, which annoyed her grandly.
She blocked his number lots of times, but he kept changing it, repeating he was sorry and intended to make things right.
"He asked me about you and what was our relationship.. It was weird."
"And what did you answer ?" She asked, looking away from the screen.
"That we're friends."
She nodded in agreement.
"Well, I really have to go the Hyungs are staring.. Talk to you soon, I hope.. Make sure you eat well."
"Will do.. Bye~"
They both waved at the camera before hanging up, Maya sighing before putting her phone to charge.
Wether she liked it or not, she had to have a discussion with Chanyeol, he needed to leave her alone.
"Are you really getting over us, Noona ?" Jungkook asked.
His voice was sleepy, but she could tell he was hurt.
"I have to, Gguk-ah, life goes on." She answered.
He turned his head to her, exposing his teary eyes to her.
She felt her heart ache, but she knew she was doing the right thing.
She was just friends with Jaehyun, but she started to like him, he was nice to talk to.
Even though she still had feelings for the maknaes, she had to get over them, so they could really let go.
"Are you really forgetting about me ? About what we had ?" He asked, holding her tighter.
"Jungkook-ah-"
"Don't start with the whole 'I have to' thing, you don't have to, you just want to." He cut her off.
She sighed, closing her eyes.
"Whoever this lover is, he doesn't matter because you let me in your bed while you talked to him." He continued.
"So what ? You've been doing that even before we debuted." She answered.
"Difference is, I'm technically your ex, and we still love each other, that changes everything."
".. Wait, first of all it's not a lover, second of all you're also my bandmate and a close friend of mine, I care about your well-being."
Jungkook let out a small scoff, turning back his head to sleep, snuggling under the blankets.
"Whatever helps you sleep at night."
