"I hope Dispatch didn't see me."
Jaehyun smiled Maya as she entered the car, not daring to touch her.
He couldn't believe she really came, it all felt a little too unreal.
"Jaehyun-ah ? You're alright ?" She asked, waving her hand in front of his face.
He snapped out of his transe, nodding.
"Yeah, yeah.. Is it okay for you to be here ? I mean with rehearsals and everything.." He said, slightly anxious.
"It's exactly why I'm here, I need a break." She sighed, fastening her belt as he started the engine.
He nodded, giving her a small smile, making his dimples pop.
There was a small silence, neither of them knowing what to say. Aside from their studio sessions, they never really hung out, it felt kind of weird.
"By the way did Chanyeol kept bugging you ?" She asked, trying to make the conversation.
"Nope, now it's Kook."
"Oh for fuck's sake.." She sighed.
"He asked me if I was your secret lover since apparently you have one, and with the collaboration we did he thinks it's me." He chuckled. "I said that I'm not.. at least yet, but I didn't say that part."
She turned her head to him.
"So you want to be my lover ? This is a date ?" She asked, slightly tilting her head.
She asked this playfully, but a part of her was confused.
He didn't say it was a date, he just mentioned hanging out and even if she's starting to like him, she wasn't ready to go on a full date just yet.
"Yeah, I thought it was obvious.." He answered, looking at her quickly before focusing back on the road.
"Oh, okay.."
'What the hell is wrong with these SM boys ?' She asked herself, looking out the window.
She could tell Jaehyun was already seeing himself as her lover, but she didn't want to lead him on.
Maya felt stupid for not guessing he was taking this as a date, she genuinely thought he just wanted to hang out because that's exactly what he said when he proposed : 'Let's meet up'.
She didn't settled anything with her exes yet and he knew it.
Of course not the polyamorous part, but she mentionned a problematic ex, not slipping out a name. Yet, he was already seeing himself as a whole boyfriend when she said countless times that she was trying to have some time to herself, not in any kind of relationship.
It was pretty late at night, around 1 AM.
Neither of them was supposed to be out because of their busy schedules, but they really wanted to meet up either ways.
Even if the whole 'date' thing threw Maya off, she decided to push that aside and enjoy the moment.
It has been a minute since she has been on a date, the last one being with Taehyung in Hawaii so even if it wasn't planned, she wanted to at least try to enjoy it.
"So, where are we going ?" She asked, turning to him.
"You'll see.." He answered, chuckling.
