15 : Harsh decisions.

"I'll ask this one more time, are you two dating or not ?"

Maya gulped nervously as Jungkook sat next to her, uneasy.

The two of them didn't participate in the group's activities to Japan as the company had to handle this scandal that was taking over Korea at a fast pace.

Maya was very nervous as it was her first scandal ever. She was very careful, knowing people were waiting for her to mess up.

That was the pressure she was dealing with as the only girl in the group.

"No we're not."

"Then what is this picture ?" Bang Sihyuk asked, pointing at the picture on the presentation board. "We were very strict about dating within the group, if it's really the case, May-ssi will be taken out of the group."

The two members' eyes widened, clearly not expecting that.

"Why Noona ? I'm involved too !" Jungkook defended her.

"Because I'm the girl Jungkook-ah, it's obvious why.." Maya sighed.

She was frustrated.

She never asked to be in a boygroup, they proposed to her and she accepted. She dedicated all of her youth to that company, signing with them when she was only thirteen.

She hated that she'd be the one facing harsh consequences, she hated that sexist mindset.

"Few months ago May-ssi asked us to move out of the dorm.. Granted." The management director said.

"That's not-"

"Gguk-ah." Maya cut him off.

Jungkook turned to her, looking obviously frustrated.

They both knew why they were basically forcing her out of the dorm : To be able to control who comes and goes from her house with more ease and hence, watch her.

"Noona that's not fair to you, we did nothing wrong !" Jungkook said, looking at her with pained eyes.

"Life is unfair Jungkook and if moving out keeps me in the group, I'm alright with it." She answered him reassuringly.

She was the oldest one after all, it was her role to look after him, not the other way.

She gave him a little head pat before turning back to the CEO and the management team director.

"The picture is actually really misleading, Jungkook is kissing my forehead, not my lips, the angle make it seem that way but it's absolutely not that.. Plus, we always act that way in front of cameras, it's not like it's a surprise that we act like that in a private circle too."

The way she handled the situation amazed Jungkook.

She didn't panick, nor stuttered. She looked right at them, relating the facts with confidence  and explaining them clearly, backing them up with proof.

Maybe she chose the wrong career path..

The two company authorities sighed in relief, nodding.

"We'll finance your new apartment and costs of living, just like for the other members at the dorm." The management director started. "As for now, the two of you better keep some distance, for safety. It's comeback season, we're not allowed to mess up."

They both nodded, waiting for the next orders.

Wether they liked it or not, they had to roll with it, that's the truth of the idol life.

"We'll put out a statement to sort this out, meanwile, no VLives together without another member present, no touching and no hanging out just the two of you."

"Do we know who leaked the picture ?" Maya asked, licking her lips nervously.

"Not an idea, so even though you're not dating, be careful around staff members.. Another thing, May-ssi." Bang Sihyuk called her specifically.

"Yes PD-nim ?"

He sighed, not liking to be a bad guy in this.

Being at the head of a company requires to take tough decisions like this, wether he like it or not.

He had a particular affection for Maya, but he couldn't let his company go down to save her.

Tough decisions had to be made and someone had to be the bad guy, it's life.

"One more scandal like that with another member and you're re-debuting solo, don't mess this up."
