"𝕋his place looks like any haunted house in horror movies." the orange haired boy said, placing the box that he was holding on the floor. "you're basically begging the warrens to pay you a visit."

"shut up, jimin. you're not the one sleeping alone here tonight." the silver haired boy groaned, doing as his best friend did and placed the box he was holding on the floor. "the place is nice and... it was kind of cheap."

"of course it was cheap, there's dead people helping you pay the rent." jimin laughed, taehyung hitting his arm softly with a frown. "i'm sorry, i can't help it."

"well, you better do." he warned, looking around the room, letting out a sigh. "it's close to your home and my parents' home, so in case anything happens, you guys can save me."

"which reminds me to ask for you the nth time, why don't you come and live with me? seriously, you rather live in a dead grandma's house than mine? i thought we were besties." jimin breathed out the last sentence, reaching for his chest with his hand in pain.

"jimin, i've told you a million times already. yes, you are my bestie. yes, i love you so much. but i want to live alone for once to stop being a burden." he explained, grabbing the box that had his personal belongings and walking upstairs. "and before you say i'm not a burden, shut up."

kim taehyung was a twenty-three year old boy, with silver hair and a gorgeous face. the boy was beautiful, but he was just a normal guy that worked as a waiter at a friend's restaurant. after living all his life with his parents, he decided that it was enough and got himself a home.

sure, it looked like the perfect spot for ghosts to throw a party, but it was nice. it was pretty and a worker came by every thursday to clean it up, which made taehyung instantly interested. plus, he liked the aesthetic of the house, so he decided to ignore his best friend about how unsafe it looked and simply took it.

"well, when a ghost eats your ass, i don't want you begging for my help like a little puppy." he said, shrugging and picking up another box with taehyung's belongings and following him upstairs. mainly because he didn't want to stay alone a single second in there.

park jimin was taehyung's best friend since they can remember, their parents being close friends causing them to be just as close. he was a short, orange haired boy with a sweet and caring personality. he loved helping others, which is why he decided to study nursing.

"at least someone will eat my ass." taehyung laughed at his own words, entering his new room and placing the box in his nightstand. "and if i go and beg for your help, you know you'll help me."

"whatever." jimin dismissed the topic, mainly because the silver haired boy was right. "i'll come here with yoongi and hoseok tomorrow, they really want to see the house. mainly yoongi, you know he's into creepy shit." he said, placing the box on top of the one that taehyung placed in the nightstand.

"stop calling my house creepy, that's rude." taehyung frowned, looking around his room. it had a clean bed with white sheets, which he would soon replace with his blue ones. a dark wood nightstand, drawer and closet, the windows being covered by white curtains. "and who told you i wanted to receive visits?"

"you should be grateful someone wants to come here." he laughed, even though he stopped seconds later when he saw how his best friend stared at him in annoyance. "i'm so sorry."

"just stop talking." he rolled his eyes, picking up his heart plushie from one of the boxes
—which his friends called weird every time they saw it— and placing it on his bed. "do you think someone would date me if they found out i lived here?"

"if you go to hot topic to find a boyfriend, maybe." he shrugged, sitting on the bed while looking at his best friend, who was picking up stuff like his toothbrush, deodorant and hairbrush and placing them around the room. "it's not that bad, i'm just messing with you."

"i know it's not that bad. and if it is, i'm paying for it, so it's not really anyone's business except mine." he said, jimin whistling at his best friend's sassiness. "and you better bring some food when you come with the guys tomorrow."

"will you be able to survive without your mom's food?" he asked, grabbing taehyung's plushie and looking at it with a small frown. "seriously, what the fuck is this?"

"leave tata alone, dickhead." he said, placing his colognes on top of his drawer and looking at jimin through the mirror. "i'll be able to survive, jiwoon is going to cook for me because he's scared i die from starvation." —jiwoon: the owner of the restaurant he worked in—.

"jiwoon is a lifesaver." jimin sighed in relief, leaving the plushie where he found it and standing up from the bed. "well, if you don't need anything else, i should get going. the boys are waiting for me at home." he said, walking out of the room and down the stairs, being followed by the silver haired boy.

"you're leaving me to go get some dicks?" he scoffed, shaking his head in disappointment as he saw his best friend opening the front door.

"yes, i totally am." he smiled innocently, taehyung hitting his arm playfully. "look, if you need anything, don't hesitate to call me, okay? and if you finally change your mind about being independent and decide that you're ready to live with your best friend, my apartment's doors are always open."

"thank you, jiminie." he smiled, hugging his best friend and waving when they broke the hug. "bye, i love you!"

"love you too!" he waved back smiling, soon leaving the house, getting in his car and driving away.

when he disappeared from taehyung's eyesight, the boy sighed deeply and closed the door. he picked up his phone from the living room's glass table and went up the stairs, answering the texts he didn't see until now.

truth was, taehyung wasn't actually scared. even with jimin's attempts to scare him so he runs away to live at the older's apartment, he wasn't afraid of  "ghosts" because he didn't believe in them.

but oh boy, he wasn't expecting at all what awaited him days later.
