𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗻.

"𝕎ell, operation look-for-something-helpful-in-the-basement-without-chickening-out is on." yoongi stated, the other six boys nodding with a sudden rush of courage. he then opened the door, revealing stairs surrounded by complete darkness. "let's go."

they went down the stairs as close to each other as they could, seokjin and hoseok pointing everywhere with their flashlights as they walked. once taehyung found the string that had him almost throwing hands the first time he went there, he pulled it and illuminated the room.

"why is there a single chair standing in the middle of the place?" hoseok yelped, getting closer to his boyfriends and hugging each of their sides. "i already regret coming here."

"let's be brave, baby. we're not going to let anything happen to you, right yoonie?" jimin reassured, hugging the red haired boy's arm with a small smile on his face.

"of course not, we'll always protect you." he nodded, kissing hoseok's forehead with a small smile on his lips. that made the boy chuckle, nodding too and letting go of his boyfriends' arms to start looking around.

"it would be easier if i knew what exactly am i looking for." taehyung sighed, opening a box and looking inside of it, only finding random garden stuff and dust that made him sneeze, which made everyone jump at their spot. "oh, sorry."

"bless you." jungkook chuckled, looking at the top of a shelf for something useful, but just finding gardening magazines and random romance books.

namjoon picked up a box and opened it, yelping when he found multiple gnomes looking straight at him with lifeless eyes. "oh my god, that's terrifying." he breathed out, closing the box quickly and leaving it aside.

"it looks like the witch was really into gardening." jimin said, picking up flower seeds packages from a random box. "specially red roses."

"it's cool she had a hobby besides taking people's souls away." yoongi said, picking up a black haired doll with dark eyes, pale skin and softly blushed cheeks. "is it just me, or this doll looks exactly like me."

"get that shit away!" seokjin screeched, slapping the doll out of yoongi's hand, the toy flying to the wall and ending up on the floor, her back facing the boys. "you don't mess up with dolls, remember that."

"i think you just d-did." hoseok gulped, looking away instantly to busy himself with other stuff that wasn't being near that toy. he was terrified of dolls. well, he was terrified of pretty much everything, actually.

"this place needs cleaning, there's so much dust everywhere." jimin said in disgust, looking at the spiderwebs and dust all over the place.

"i think we can let the spirits to take care of that, it's their home anyways." yoongi said, but regretted it instantly when he saw hoseok's terrified expression. "i'm just kidding, hobi. there's no such thing as spirits here."

"yoongi-hyung really likes joking around." jungkook said, everyone nodding in agreement, hoseok pressing his lips together and busying himself with another box once again.

"oh my god, look!" seokjin gasped, picking up a broom from the corner of the basement and showing it to the rest of the boys. "it's a broom!"

"and this is a box! what about it?" jimin asked, not getting seokjin's excitement over a broom.

"witches fly with brooms, you dumb people." he rolled his eyes, namjoon chuckling and walking up to his boyfriend to look at the broom closely.

"it would be so cool to go to the supermarket on that. imagine the stares you'd get." taehyung said, jungkook nodding in agreement. "i think i'll do just that."

"i don't think it has any magic at this point." jungkook shrugged, picking up the dusty sunglasses he found on the shelf and putting them on after blowing the dust off.

"you both share the passion of stealing jewelry from a haunted basement? how cute." jimin cooed, taehyung hitting his arm softly in embarrassment when he saw jungkook wearing red sunglasses with an amused smile on his face.

"talk about soulmate behavior." hoseok added, leaving the box he was holding on the floor when all he found were magazines and books.

"hey, no need to go there. i'm taehyung's soulmate." jimin frowned, the other boys laughing at his defensive attitude.

"you know, i don't think gardening stuff will get us anywhere." namjoon said after a couple of minutes of searching, sighing. "we've been looking forever now."

"well, maybe our clue isn't here-" a single knock sound made yoongi stop his words, looking at the source with a small frown. in the right corner of the basement, a single small box was standing proudly, waiting to be opened. "we all agree that that box wasn't there just a second ago, right?"

everyone nodded, namjoon being the brave one to walk over there and pick it up, grabbing the single small piece of paper when he opened it. "... uh, it's an address."

"bingo!" yoongi clapped, everyone sighing in relief. they found a clue, finally!

they knew it was time to leave when the chair started moving slowly back and forth and the doll was now looking at their direction, the seven of them yelping and running away and up the stairs as fast at they could. once they were in the living room, namjoon picked up his phone and wrote the address on the internet.

"it's a library." he announced, showing the screen to the rest of the boys. "it's open until eight o'clock at night."

"it looks like we have a trip to make." seokjin said, everyone clapping in excitement. "to the batmobile!"

"batmobile? we're mystery solvers, not superheroes." jungkook frowned, all of them walking to the front door and opening it.

"right. well, to the mystery machine!" seokjin shouted once again, all of them walking to their respective cars, since they wouldn't fit all in one.

"the mystery machine? but that's straight up plagiarism!" jungkook complained once again, the seven boys taking some minutes to talk about how would their vehicles be named.

and so they started their new adventure, which will be full of surprises and obstacles. the question is, will they be able to get over them?
