𝔸fter jungkook woke taehyung up so he could get ready, they left the house and got in the older's car, both of them too eager to find out who that lady was. they couldn't waste any more time.on the way, jungkook complimented taehyung for having such a good music taste and thanked him multiple times for helping him, the silver haired boy feeling flattered every time he did.
"oh, it's here!" jungkook suddenly said, pointing with his finger at a building. taehyung parked the car in front of it and both of the boys got out, looking at the people passing by.
"can you like, be visible for everyone? i don't want to look like i'm talking to myself." taehyung said, jungkook nodding and thinking about wanting everyone to see him. when he was done, he nodded once again. "great. now, what should we do?"
"we can look around to see if we find the old la-" he got interrupted by a man talking to his phone, who just went right through him without batting an eye in his direction. once he did, he shivered, but just ignored it and continued with his busy life. the younger frowned, looking back at him with his mouth parted. "that was so rude."
"i think he didn't see you..." taehyung mumbled, a woman who looked pretty fed up with everything around her passing by. "hey, excuse me! can you see him?" he asked, pointing at jungkook, who smiled awkwardly in response.
"get a life, kid." she rolled her eyes, continuing with her walk and leaving the two dumbfounded boys behind.
"didn't you say that you can be visible to the people?"
"well, i am supposed to be!"
people walking by looked at taehyung with weirded out looks, some little kids laughing at him while being dragged away by their mothers.
"i think i should stop talking so confidently." taehyung mumbled, clearing his throat and walking ahead, the ghost following him from behind. "didn't you say that you could show yourself to people when you went for a walk the other day?"
"i did... well, the man looked pretty drunk, but i don't think that has to do with anything." he laughed nervously, taehyung looking at him with an are you fucking serious face. "but, what about your friends? they can see me!"
"huh, yeah... you're right. well, i don't know why can't other people see you, but it's not really relevant right now. where is the supermarket where you found the old lady?" he asked, lowering his head to go as unnoticed as possible.
"it's in the other street." he said, pocketing his hands and looking at taehyung. he didn't have to look at the front to know where he's walking, so he decided to focus on the silver haired boy instead. "i remember she was wearing something green that covered her head."
"well, i hope her favorite spot to hang out is the supermarket." he sighed, now looking at the front to analyze everything around him. it looked like a normal neighborhood, where little kids were running around while their parents shopped and chatted, busy businessmen and women walked quickly to their jobs with a coffee on their left hand and their phone on their right and the rest of the people were just walking to their destination.
"yeah, i hope so too." the younger said, smiling mischievously when he found a new hobby. turns out that if he walked through someone, they shivered. so he began walking through people that walked in his direction —except kids and older adults— and laughed when they shivered out of nowhere.
his fun was interrupted when he saw a certain woman that had a green cloth covering her head while carrying two bags of groceries. he gasped, trying to tap taehyung's shoulder but failing successfully. "tae, that's the woman! she's right there!"
"where?" he started looking around, widening his eyes when he found her and walking quickly in her direction. when they reached her, taehyung tapped her shoulder, the lady looking at him with raised eyebrows. "excuse me, have you seen a boy around my age in the lasts days? brown hair, big doe eyes, his smile makes him look like a bunny..."
the woman appeared clueless for a couple of seconds, until she smiled wickedly. that smile gave taehyung goosebumps, it looked so creepy and evil. the lady then looked back at jungkook, who widened his eyes when he noticed the woman could see him.
"i hope you have fun, jeon." she simply said, her voice sweet and soft like a loving grandma, the total opposite of her words with an evil meaning behind them. her eyes turned green and red, just like jungkook said the day before, and then she turned around and walked to an alley nearby.
taehyung and jungkook were left in shock for a couple of seconds, until the silver haired boy shook his head and followed her. "hey, lady! what do you think you're-" when taehyung entered the alley to confront the woman, she was nowhere in sight. like she just disappeared in the thin air. "-doing..."
"what the fuck!" jungkook frowned, angrily stomping his feet on the ground. "i didn't tell her my name, but she called me jeon! that means she actually knows who i am!"
"this is so fucking weird." taehyung mumbled, looking around the alley, not a single soul being there. "well, we can confirm that she was not a human, i'm pretty sure of it."
"what the fuck is she?" he sighed, calming himself down seconds later by breathing deeply. "i think it's better if we go back to your house. let's think about something when the shock is over."
taehyung nodded, both boys walking back to his car and driving to his house in silence. they were thinking about the lady, how they felt chills running down their spine when she looked directly at them with those green and red eyes. it was truly intimidating.
who the hell was that woman and what does she have to do with jungkook?
