𝕋aehyung woke up by the sound of his alarm echoing through the room, groaning in annoyance and blindly turning it off. he covered his face with his pillow and decided that five more minutes wouldn't kill anybody, slowly falling asleep again.

"taehyung, the alarm went off!" jungkook shouted, the silver haired boy jumping in his place at the sudden voice and falling face first on the ground. "oh, did i scare you? sorry."

"right, i forgot about you." he groaned in pain, his raspy morning voice shocking jungkook a little bit. the boy really had a deep voice. "thank you for waking me up."

"i don't know if it's sarcasm or not, but you're welcome." he smiled, taehyung standing up and finally looking up at him. now that he was well rested, he could appreciate one thing: the ghost was truly handsome. "while you were sleeping, i went out of a walk. turns out i can decide if i want someone to see me or not! isn't that so cool?"

"it is pretty cool." he nodded, walking to the bathroom with lazy steps, the boy following him from behind. "i'm going to take a shower and i can't magically disappear from your eyes, so please stay out, okay?"

"oh, right. i'll stay outside." he chuckled, turning around and leaving taehyung to do his own business.

the silver haired boy sighed deeply after closing the bathroom's door. he felt like this would be a very, very long day. after preparing himself for his shift at work, he went downstairs to find jungkook floating in the middle of the living room, a book that looked older than his grandma on his hands.

"what are you doing?" taehyung asked, walking to the kitchen to grab a quick snack before going to work. he'll eat something heavy at lunch break.

"i'm reading this book i found on one of the rooms. it's about creepy supernatural stuff." he explained, closing the book and looking now at taehyung. "how many hours do you work?"

"eight." he sighed, biting his protein bar. when he made sure that he had his phone and keys with him, he walked to the front door. "when i come back, we'll talk about how you ended up here, okay?"

"okay, i'll be waiting."

after saying their goodbyes, taehyung left the house, disappearing from jungkook's eyesight.

the ghost sighed, leaving the book on the glass table and floating around the living room. he decided to look around the house once again, because he didn't really have anything better to do.

the dark wooden floor was neatly polished, sometimes making a creepy sound when you stepped on it. the walls were painted in a light brown color and the furniture were a darker brown. the house really gave horror movie vibes, but it was aesthetically pleasing too. there were different paintings in the living room —which taehyung adored, since he loved art— and a glass chandelier was standing proudly in the living room. there was a basement too, but everyone knew that it was a red flag, so jungkook wouldn't even think about going down there alone. even if he was the ghost in this situation.

downstairs, you could find the living room, the kitchen, the dining room, the laundry room and a garden, which jungkook didn't have the courage to explore either. because everyone knew gardens in creepy houses were a red flag too.

upstairs the most vivid place was taehyung's room, which had all his personal belongings. he changed the white bedsheets into his favorite blue ones —which where messy because he left the house in a rush—, a heart shaped plushie laying proudly in the middle. there were photographs of taehyung with young boys and others were with a lady and a man, jungkook assuming they were his friends and family. posters of different artists were hanging on the walls and some clothes were on the floor.

the other two rooms were just as taehyung found them, boring and clean. the bathroom had a glass door with a light blue shower curtain blocking the view, one red toothbrush and toothpaste laying on the sink.

by all his observations, jungkook concluded that the boy was single and lived alone, which made him wonder; why the fuck did the boy decided it was a good idea to live in this place all by himself?

shrugging, the boy went back downstairs and decided to continue reading that book he found in one of the guests rooms, which was titled "the unknown creatures". he was sure it was all bullshit, but still, he literally didn't have anything better to do.

he was floating around downstairs while reading about mermaids until he heard unknown voices in front of the house. he went to the entrance to see who was there, just the thought of i don't want them to see me enough for being invisible to unworthy eyes.

"my mom literally made me come here to bring taehyung this food, yoonie. we're not on a road trip or whatever." the first voice said, jungkook feeling relieved because they knew the silver haired boy. "i told her that jiwoon would cook for him, but she didn't listen."

a second voice laughed at the boy's words, the door finally being opened and revealing three boys. they were going to normally enter the house, but stopped their steps abruptly and widened their eyes.

"i-i'm not the only one seeing that floating book, right?" the red haired boy stuttered, the other two boys shaking their heads.

"oh, dammit." jungkook mumbled, hitting his head with the book softly for being so dumb. the sudden voice made the orange haired boy and the red haired boy scream and turn around to run away, but they were stopped by the black haired boy.

"where the hell do you think you're going? there's a ghost in here, that's so sick!" he said, making the other two boys turn around once again. "hey, can you like, show yourself or something?"

the younger boy sighed deeply, debating whether he should or not show himself. at the end he said fuck it, why not? they knew taehyung and they had spare keys, so they'll probably come around often.

and seconds later, the three boys gasped quite loudly when in front of them appeared a boy that looked around their age, scratching his neck awkwardly with one hand and holding the old book with the other.

"um, hello."
