Zayn's POV

We were forced to pull away from each other at the sound of Louis's voice. His jaw was dropped, an expression of shock and surprise on his face. He looked between Mel and I a few times before his gaze finally settled on me.

"Louis! I found Niall and Felicity!" yelled out Liam's voice excitedly before Louis could say anything to us.

The voice of the guy who's girlfriend I had just shamelessly kissed.

All of us snapped out of our little trance at the sound of Liam's voice. Guilt settled into me, I felt awful.

Louis cleared his throat and looked towards the source of the voice, "Coming!" he yelled out. He turned to look at Mel and I, "I - I'm just going to go now, yeah?" he said, before throwing me a discreet amused smile and walking away.

I looked down at Mel. She was leaning against the tree, looking away from me and focusing on the lake instead. There was no sound to be heard besides our breathing.

She looked at me and our gazes locked. We just looked at each other, both of us wanting to say something but uncapable of uttering a word.

Resisting the empowering urge to kiss her again, I opened my mouth to say something, but she started to walk away from me.

I grabbed her arm before she could run away from me. She looked at me, unreadable emotions floating around in her tear filled beautiful blue eyes.

"That kiss was not a mistake," I whispered, never breaking eye contact with her. Electricity was shooting through my body just at her touch. She closed her eyes and let out a shaky breath, before pulling away from my grip and running away from me. I sighed, tracing my lips with my finger. It was as if I could still feel her lips on mine.

I kissed Mel.

What the hell had I done?

"I cannot believe you kissed her," Em said for the gazillionth time.

"I can't either," I muttered.

We were sitting in our cabin. Just six hours ago, we'd been playing hide and seek, laughing and having a great time.

Now I was sitting there, confused and guilty.

How was I going to face Liam?

"Who kissed who?" Niall asked, walking in with a burger in hand, munching on it happily.

"Zayn kissed Mel!" Em said gleefully, "Wait, how come you have real food?!"

"What?!" Niall asked in disbelief, totally ignoring Em, "Zayn, she's -"

"Liam's girlfriend, I know," I sighed.

"That was a dick move," Niall said, looking at me with a frown, "No offense," he quickly added when he saw me glaring at him.

"I knew this would happen," Em said, still smiling.

She was quite happy about the fact that I had kissed Mel. She gushed about how romantic it was, completely avoiding the whole prospect of the girl I'm head over heels in love with being my bandmate (and best friend)'s girlfriend.
