A U B R E Y

Hey it's Talia Harmon please leave a message and I'll be sure to give you a call back. "Talia it's me, again." I sighed, "You might think that I fucked up again, but baby you have to understand that there is and always will be a method to my madness." I explained, "no one's seen you in a while baby, Donnie has been asking about you too." I paused, "I'll give you your space but I'm starting to worry. T, baby just please call me back, I love you." I took my phone way from my ear, leaning back into my studio chair scrolling through my call log.

Since everything went down a month or two ago, everyday since then I've tried reaching out to my lady. She was the only one that I wanted to speak to, but it was clear that she didn't care what I had to say. I could care less what people had to say about what happened. Those on the outside didn't know the extent of our situation. All I wanted right now was Talia.

"Daddy," I heard my sons small voice call from behind me. I turned myself around in my chair seeing him in the doorway of my studio.

I grinned outstanding my arms watching as he ran into them, standing in between my legs as his blue eyes looked up at me. "What's up little man?" I asked lifting him up to sit on my leg.

"Where is momma?" He asked lowly resting his head against my chest. Talia's absence didn't just affect me, it slowly began to affect Adonis.

I kissed the top of his head, as I stood up with him still in my arms. "Momma has been busy," I sighed not knowing what else to say. The excuse went from she'll come see you tomorrow to busy to downright lying through my teeth. Talia and Donnie always had a strong relationship since he was one. Hell even his annoying ass mother had a better relationship with Talia than she did with me. After her party it seemed as if that all changed.

It didn't make sense to me how Talia went from not wanting anything to do with me but still wanting to be in my sons life to cutting everyone and everything off. I was beyond worried and if it weren't for my mom stopping me from popping up on Talia when I wanted to, I wouldn't be standing for whatever this was. This wasn't like her.

"Is momma mad at me?" I heard my son ask,

"Why would she be mad at you? She loves you more than daddy," I chuckled walking out of the studio, down the halls of my multi million dollar Toronto home. Donnie wrapped his arm around my neck, I stopped once I heard his little sniffles against my neck. "why are you crying?" I asked lifting my hand to his cheek.

"I miss momma," he lowly cried,

"I miss her too, she'll come to see you soon, I promise." I felt him nod his head against my shoulder tightening his arm around my neck. "Do you want to swim today little man?" I asked in hopes that would cheer him up enough to take his mind off of T. He only shook his head declining my suggestion. "No, then what should we do?" I asked again walking us out into the living room.

"I'm tired," I heard him say lowly. For a three year old who I was used to seeing bounce off the walls have no energy as of late was beyond worrying. Sophie told me that she began noticing some changes in our sons behavior a few weeks ago. We weren't used to seeing our son like this. We were used to seeing his overly charismatic personality. He was a smart kid, and Sophie and I knew that he began to realize that Talia wasn't showing up anytime soon.

"You want to watch a movie?" I asked laying him down on the couch.

"Yeah," he said,

"Alright buddy we can do that," I said switching the tv to YouTube kids. I tossed the remote on the couch, grabbing the nearest blanket to cover his little body. I signed crouching down to his eye level, whatever I turned on didn't entertain him enough to keep his eyes open. "I'll come get you for lunch alright," I sighed brushing some of his curly hair from his forehead. "She'll come back Donnie," I whispered down to his sleeping form.

"This is fucking depressing bro," I heard Oliver say from across the room.

"you telling me," I huffed finding a seat on the couch next to my son. "His mom is worried, I'm fucking worried." I said rubbing a stressful hand over my shaven head. "Dons depressed,"

"He's 4," Oliver scoffed,

"He's shown all of the signs. His therapist thinks it's because of the sudden changes in his life."

"Tali," I heard him sigh,

I mumbled, "Yeah,"

"How are you?" He asked sitting next to me.

"How do you think I am?"

"Sane-ish," he chuckled,

I tossed my phone his way, "look at my call log and see if you feel the same way about me being sane-ish." I sighed,

"She just needs some time man," he said, "T pregnant too so the stress is the last thing she needs."

"That's why I'm on edge I wanna make sure her and the babies are good but she's iced me out." I stressed,

"Just focus on what you can right now Drizzy," Oliver said patting his hand on my shoulder. "You know Talia better than all of us so you should know that when she's ready she'll reach out."

"Yeah."
