V O T E + C O M M E M TIt's been a couple of weeks since Talia has physically been around Adonis, and she knew the main reason for why that was. Her ex-husband. Since they last spoke when the news broke on Talia being pregnant. Talia would try to schedule times with Oliver to see Adonis, but he would lie, claiming that he was with his mother when his own father was sabotaging Talia the entire time.
When Sophie flew into the states, she would always bring Adonis to his grandmother's home, where his father would go and pick him up from there. Sophie herself was beyond confused when she was brought up to speed on what Aubrey was doing. So even though Talia wanted nothing to do with Aubrey, she knew that she would have to face him to see her son.
So that's what Talia intended to do; she flew on the next flight out to Toronto to pick up her son, pregnant and all. "OB, where is Don?" Talia asked, pushing the front doors of Aubrey's home open as she stepped past him.
"Oh, shit," OB said,
Talia rolled her eyes, "come on, I don't have time. Where is my son?" She asked once again,
"This isn't the best time for you to be here right now," OB said calmly; it wasn't because he wasn't glad to see her; he was more worried about his best friend, who was now taking his medications regularly. Every time that Talia's name came up, it ended with Aubrey wanting to ruin what she was building with her new guy.
"I don't care about him. Sophie said I could come and pick him up, so where is he at?" She asked him again,
"Talia," Chubbs called from behind them, "congratulations, momma," he smiled, pulling her into a warm hug.
"Thank you," she smiled, "Donnie," she called loudly throughout the house, stepping away from Chubbs once she heard his tiny voice coming from the pool outside.
OB was hot on Talia's tail, following her as she walked out to the back yard, "I know you two are going through yall thing, but you need to let him know that you're taking him." he said hastefully,
Talia stopped in her tracks, turning around to face him, "OB, stop playing with me and get out of my face," she hissed, sliding open the door to the backyard.
Oliver was the first to notice Talia walking towards the pool's edge, smiling as she watched Adonis swim around in the water. Oliver's eyes landed on Aubrey, who was too submerged in his phone to notice Talia's presence. No one has seen these two in the same room since Aubrey had gotten arrested, and Oliver knew that she would eventually never stand for Aubrey, keeping her away from Adonis.
Once Adonis came up for air, he saw Talia waving happily over at him from the side of the pool. "Momma!" He yelled cheerfully, swimming as fast as his little body could to the steps of the pool.
Aubrey's head snapped up from his phone at the sound of his son's voice. He couldn't believe that she was actually here, just like he planned. Aubrey knew that their relationship was more than strained at the moment. He knew that trying to keep Donnie from Talia would have been more than enough for her to break the terms of the restraining order.
Adonis shuffled quickly into Talia's awaiting arms, knowing better than to run after getting out of the pool. "Hey, my baby!" Talia smiled wildly hugging his wet body in her arms, kissing his cheeks. "Êtes-vous prêt à aller?" She asked, reaching for the paw patrol towel that sat at her feet.
