"Crazy?!" Sophie exclaimed,
"We trusted our best friend with this guy and pushed for them to be together and he's putting his hands on her!" Jordyn said, "I'm sorry Yami, but we've passed crazy, we've jumped off the damn cliff into downright fucking insanity."
"I should've known something was up when she suddenly stopped communicating with us. Donnie, even." Sophie said reaching for her drink,
Yami was confused by Sophie's words, sure Talia was acting weird around her but she didn't know that Talia stopped seeing her stepson. "Wait what?"
"Yes! My son has been depressed for weeks over not seeing her." Sophie sighed, "What am I to tell my son whose grown accustomed to having two moms? At first, I blamed Drake but clearly, he's as shocked as I was."
"Talia loves that boy to pieces we all know that. She would never just separate herself like that from us or Don even if something truly wasn't wrong." Yami adds,
"Wait," Jordyn said, raising both of her palms. All of this was becoming too much for her to process. She thought when she agreed to meet with Yami she was going to tell her that Talia had her baby in secret. Domestic abuse was something that she never thought that one of her closest friends would ever have to put up with especially while pregnant.
"Yes," Yami sighed heavily, "I've worked with Talia for years and I've never seen her so defeated. Besides, I more than anyone at this table would know that look. She was there for me when I was dealing with my abusive ass ex." Yami shared,
"This is too much," Sophie sighed,
"If he thought Drake had it out for him before, he's surely going to murder that nigga while on his meds this time." Jordyn scoffs,
"What are we going to do?" Sophie asked them both,
"Tell Aubrey!" Jordyn and Yami stressed in unison,
Sophie rolled her eyes, "we need actual proof before we involve him in any of this."
"You can't actually be serious Sophie?" Jordyn said to her,
"Yes!" Sophie said, "we can't go after this without any proof."
"What more proof do you need Sophie! Our best friend laid up in the damn hospital?" Jordyn questioned, Jordyn couldn't believe that Sophie needed proof of anything in order for them to take action. Jordyn heard all that she needed to hear and it wasn't like the information was coming from an unknown source, it was Yami for crying out loud.
"Just hang on alright!" Sophie said, "she's my friend too and the last thing she'd want is for us to go about this the wrong way Jordyn. We need to tell the police,"
Jordyn stood from her seat, "fuck the police, and fuck him!" She belted, "this is a family issue and the police won't do shit but file a restraining order or leak this to the damn press."
Sophie fell back in her seat averting her eyes away from Jordyn, "she's such a kind-hearted person," Sophie sniffed, "he literally forced her to isolate herself from the people who loved her the most. Aubrey was her first boyfriend turned husband he managed to fuck that up and now she landed in this which is her second relationship and this happens." Jordyn sighed sitting back down, reaching over to take Sophie's hand in comfort as she cried.
"He won't even let us see her," Yami solemnly said to them both,
"Bitch ass said that she wanted to avoid stress." Jordyn scoffed,
"We need to get the guys together—"
"We need more proof," Yami interjected,
"This is proof don't play with me either Yami because when I see that milk dud it's a he's as good as dead." Jordyn hissed,
