T A L I A

When is enough actually enough? Some would know when it was time to put an end to things while the rest decided to live loud and proud in their denial. For weeks Talia chose to live in her denial when it came to the actions of her fiancé. Talia wanted to believe that this was all just a terrible nightmare that she couldn't wake up from. It wasn't a dream. She was wide awake.

The first night that Rome attacked her she was a broken mess on the kitchen floor. All she could do was cry. Talia feared for the well-being of her babies than herself. Any rational woman would've called the police. Talia didn't. Despite everything Talia still loved him and though he did what he did to her, if anyone close to her found out what he did. Talia knew that he'd have to deal with worse than just the police.

He had every right to be angry. She did cheat on him with the man that Talia had sworn up and down to no longer have feelings for. She prayed for it to be only a one-time thing, but it seemed that god left her prayers on standby. "Earth to Talia," Yami giggled pulling Talia from her thoughts.

"I'm sorry," Talia apologized giving her a small smile,

Yami watched as Talia continued to look over the paperwork that was personally delivered to the shop today. Yami thought nothing of it, thinking that it was only more construction expenses from the new shop location in London. What she didn't expect was for them to be signed divorce papers from Aubrey's legal team.

Yami wanted to at least keep Talia company in her office lending her support. With so much that's happened between Drake and Rome, Yami knew that the timing of Drake now wanting to sign the divorce paperwork was anything but perfect. Nor did it make sense. Rome was stopping by the shop more than Yami was ever used to every other damn day, looking more stressed than usual wanting to see Talia.

There were days when Talia refused to see Rome, leaving Yami with the job of ordering the security to force her very own fiancé out on the street. How could Drake go from gifting Talia bouquets of her favorite flowers everyday for weeks on end, calling Yami daily just to know how Talia was doing that day, to divorce papers? Everything was off and it stuck out like a sore thumb.

Yami had noticed the changes in her friend. Talia kept to herself more than everyone that worked with her was used to. She was less vibrant which was alarming to Yami because she knew that Talia was due to give birth soon and the last thing that Yami wanted to do was to see Talia's mood shift in such a way. "Say what you want but I know this is hard for you T," Yami said, "I know this is what you wanted-"

"Then why does it feel like I made a mistake?" Talia interrupted, resting her head in her hands. "I guess it doesn't matter now," she said lowly, lifting her head from her hands, shoving the papers back into the envelop.

"How have you been doing?" Yami asked her,

Talia looked down as she smoothed her hand over her pregnant belly. To her, that was a loaded question. She wasn't fine she was too afraid to let anyone else around her know that. She hasn't spoken or seen her friends or family in weeks and it really did take a toll on her. "Fine really," she replied meekly,

"Are you excited about the babies?" Yami smiled, hoping the topic of her pregnancy would cheer her up. "You're due anytime now,"

"Yeah,"

Yami reached out touching Talia's wrist watching her body flinch. "Talia are you good?"
