"Where is Aubrey?" Sophie hurried in past Chubbs as soon as the front doors to Aubrey's Toronto, Ontario residence opened."Don't be on no drama, Sophie," he said, causing her to swivel around on her heels to face him. "He's been worked up for the past few weeks with Talia and doesn't need any more drama from you." Chubbs told her,
Normally, Sophie lived for the petty moments she had with Aubrey. These days, he was easily agitated. She didn't come here for that and if she had to be honest, Aubrey was an incredible father to their son, something she was well aware of.
If she were to be brutally honest, Talia had a lot to do with it. They'd still be at each other's throats over their son if it weren't for her. Today was not the day to start a fight with the father of her child. Talia's situation was far more important than Aubrey's feelings about anything else right now. "Do you know where he is!" Sophie screamed violently.
"Outside with the rest of the guys," Chubbs told her.
Sophie walked walked away finding her way to the backyard. She observed Aubrey and a handful of his buddies enjoying a small get-together as soon as she walked outside. Sophie already knew that with what she had to tell him it was going to kill the atmosphere. Nevertheless Aubrey needed to know what was going on when it came to Talia.
Ryan, Aubrey's cousin, alerted him about the sudden arrival of his baby mama. Having to deal with her and her drama was the last thing Aubrey wanted, especially with what was going on between him and Talia. His plate was already filled. Aubrey rubbed his shaved head, huffing angrily taking his gaze away from her. "You knew she was coming through?" Next to him, his cousin Ryan asked,
Aubrey grumbled, "Fuck no."
Sophie rolled her eyes as she approached Aubrey, "I need to speak with you."
"I don't need to speak to you so why are you here?" Aubrey asked, his gaze dropping on her.
"Because you need to make Talia's whatever he is disappear, and fucking fast," Sophie said bluntly.
"What the fuck are you talking about?" Aubrey irritatedly asked,
"Yami met with Jordy and me last week and told us that Rome has been putting his hands on Talia. Forcing her to isolate herself from us, and her family." Sophie told him,
It was only OB, his cousin Rayn and Baka that stood with Aubrey. It's been hectic around Aubrey's home after what happened at Talia's party. Though Aubrey hasn't missed a beat at work didn't mean when music wasn't on his mind he wasn't stressing about with his situation with Talia. She's been icing him and everyone else out and it was driving Aubrey fucking crazy. Now here came his baby momma with information that only added to the blazing fire. "You're not serious," OB said,
"She can't be. She wouldn't have waited to tell me this," Aubrey added,
"We all agreed to wait, to make sure what Yami was telling us was true—"
"Not wanting to entertain you but do you have any proof of this?" Ryan asked Sophie, unlike the his cousin and his friends. Usually when a woman brings up some type of abuse shit people needed to go off of facts not just words. Words and no facts can accidentally get someone's wig pushed back.
"Last thing any of us needs is to break necks off of allegations that you are the known queen of," Baka said, taking a long drag from his blunt before passing it Ryans' way.
"Allegations, really Baka?" Sophie scoffed crossing her arms angrily over her chest. "Why would I lie about any of this when I was the main one pushing for Talia to marry that asshole!" she yelled.
She did have a point Aubrey thought to himself. Sophie made it blatantly clear that shed rather have a cordial co-parenting relationship with him only for the sake of the son that they shared. Despite how deeply Aubrey hated that Sophie was so close to Talia he didn't mind it secretly. "How true is this?" Aubrey finally asked,
"Are you seriously asking me that?!" Sophie snapped,
"Look not today, get out of here with this shit Sophie I mean it." Aubrey snapped, "if this shit you talking about real you not waiting to tell me shit!" Aubrey was still fuming from what happened at the party. If that nigga really was putting his hands on his wife he was killing him no questions asked.
"No! She hasn't even seen Donnie, Donnie Aubrey! When has that ever been normal? Jordyn and I haven't spoken to her in weeks then Yami is calling us saying that she saw bruises all over her arms and I can't even imagine where else." Sophie felt her phone vibrating in her palm, breaking her blue eyes away from Aubrey she looked to see that it was Yami who's was calling her. Sophie turned her back to them answering the call. "Yami what's up?"
"I haven't seen Talia for a few days at work, I got worried so I decided to go to see her." Yami told her, "I'm at her house right now,"
"Break down the door if you have to Aubrey and I are on the way," Sophie said quickly hanging up.
"I'm sorry where are you and I going?" Aubrey asked,
"Did you not hear a word that I just said to you? Your wife and the mother of your kids is getting abused and you're still confused." Sophie snapped in utter disbelief. She couldn't believe that Aubrey still remained unaffected by what she had told him. "You know now so what are you going to do about it?" Sophie didn't wait around to hear his answer, as she walked away from them.
"You gotta go bro." Ryan told Aubrey, who still remained uncharacteristically quiet. Though he was OB knew that his mind was spinning.
"Worse thing she'd do is probably smack you when you pop up but if what Sophie is saying is true." OB added, "You'd hate yourself for at least not checking it out and you know that."
Aubrey nodded, "if what she's saying is true I will kill that nigga."
