Y/n's POV

I woke up in Loki's arms and as hard as I tried to close my eyes and just pretend I'm asleep while his strong hands squeezed me close to him under the soft blanket, I couldn't help but stare at his beautiful face, his sharp jawline seemed relaxed as he slept, his brows which used to scrunch in the night because of the nightmares, they were now calm although still with a hint of worry.

Oh I could sit and just stare like an idiot the whole damn day...

But a squirrel interrupted my thoughts waking Loki as he made cute noises on a brunch right above us.

And before the things could get too uncomfortable I moved further letting him space.

"Good morning" I said giving him a kind smile
"Good morning" damn that morning voice, I swear...

"Hey are you alright?" He asked, shit did I blushed that hard?
"Oh yeah, totally..." you are totally not making this awkward
Shut uuup

"No" he chuckled "I mean your back..."  I touched my back and felt something wet

It was blood, probably I wasn't fully healed since I used all my power to help Loki,
"Yeah it's fine just a wound from the explosion, It will be healed in a few minutes"

He widened his eyes a bit but then nodded
"So what are we going to do now?"

"Well... the guards are probably in search for us so it is better if we move quick"
I knew that we couldn't hide forever, and if we could, then what? We would just run away until they forget about us? That couldn't happen.

I always considered my self as lucky, I had a home and a life but right now I had nothing to loose, maybe that's what scares me, I have nothing to call a family, a home. Now I'm just a runaway.

Loki got up and helped me too, we gathered everything and hit the road right away, unfortunately we couldn't risk using magic because it would be easier to be found so we had to walk instead of teleport or flying.

On our way in the woods I felt Loki grow tense and he seemed a little hard to reach but I tried to relax him as I could,

"So what do you like to do, except you know, reading books" ok I'm not the best at small talk
"What a pathetic way to start a conversation" I know right?

"Well why don't you start then..." I said ironically making him chuckle in a deep throaty voice

We actually couldn't find a way to break the ice, but we did manage to kill the time while we walked to our destination.
We talked for what seemed about hours for our past, most of it, books we read, and our likes and dislikes and end up admiring the beautiful forest in comfortable silence.

Testing the area we arrived in the middle of a beautiful field framed with trees, and as we both agreed we sat to rest for a bit, I bet other, stronger dragons would not even think to rest but I was not one of those and my legs were killing me. I let my bag down and took a look of my surroundings when something caught my eye a huge tree in the middle of the field stood proud almost shining as the sun fell on its leaves, and offering its shade to the grass below it.

"Loki look" Loki glanced at me and then at the tree and took a step forward,
"A tree" he seemed confused but either way I was excited so I took his hand and went closer

"It's a silver willow" I said quietly
"Pardon?"
"It's a magic tree, you see her leaves never grow old and they glow bright in the twilight, myths say that if you see a leave falling from it and wish something to it, it will come true" I couldn't help but admire the beautiful tree my mother always told me about.

Loki's POV

As she explained to me everything about the tree I couldn't decide what was brighter it's leaves or her smile, she literally shined, her curly hair and her sweaty from the road face made her more and more adorable and for a moment the whole world stoped and there we were only me and her.

"Come on let me show you" I realized that I zoned out when her hand grabbed mine and led me under the shelter the tree offered us

She touched her ear on its trunk and whispered to listen closely, I did the same and suddenly I heard the tree, I heard everything, I heard birds chirping on the trees, people shouting, horses running, bugs buzzing and I heard her voice singing to that bird, back in the cell It felt so real that I opened my eyes and checked around to see if anything was really there.

I heard my heartbeat thumbing loudly, ringing in my ears, but it was calm and then I heard another rhythm, another heartbeat, Y/n's beating faster than mine and then slowly again, our hearts synchronized and we both opened our eyes to make eye contact with each other as the wind blew gently and stroked the hair from her face.

A light blush faded on her cheeks and she took her head off the willow's trunk

"Come on its late, let's rest our journey isn't over yet" her voice caress my ears and I nodded not being able to speak.

We lighten up a fire and after a small argument for the night watch I convinced her to rest so I could start.

So after I checked the perimeter for threats I decided to relax a little maybe take a walk or something like that. But apparently the willow in the middle of the field was so interesting that I couldn't take my eyes off it.

As I walked near the tree I observed it's leaves they reminded me of my mother, elegant, beautiful but simple, shining in their own way. She was the only one I missed and the tree made my memories with her in the garden jump in my mind again.

Y/n woke up after a bit and told me it was my turn to sleep.

But something stuck in my mind a thought that I could not shake and then a melody made my thought harder to ignore,

I opened my eyes and saw her sat down in the middle of the field, the wind caressing the dandelions around her and making the fireflies glowing brightly as they left their sleep spot.

She was singing

and her song almost answered my thought

Maybe it's the way you say my name
Maybe it's the way you play your game
But it's so good, I've never known anybody like you
But it's so good, I've never dreamed of nobody like you
And I've heard of a love that comes once in a lifetime
And I'm pretty sure that you are that love of mine
'Cause I'm in a field of dandelions
Wishing on every one that you'll be mine, mine
And I see forever in your eyes
I feel okay when I see you smile, smile
Wishing on dandelions all of the time
Praying to Gods that one day you'll be mine
Wishing on dandelions all of the time, all of the time...

It felt like I was a child sitting there watching her hair waving from the sweet breeze, looking her in awe, I tried to shake this feeling but the problem is that you can't do something that you don't want to.

My ears were blessed and my heart light, I didn't even felt tired and I haven't slept...

Did she really felt that way? About... me?
Oh norns why are you torturing me that way, the sweetest pain I've ever felt and there she sat, unaware of what she did to me.

I walked closed to her and saw her eyes closing she was tired,

"Come on its my turn"
"No... go back to, sleep" she murmured
"Yeah yeah" I scooped her up and lied her down on the soft fluffy grass
"Wishing on every one..." the last thing she uttered before she snuggled my chest like a pillow again
"That you'll be mine..." I continued her song and lied down without a second thought, without resistance

Like a kid who just heard his lullaby I stared at the sky filled with stars, but the sky did not excited me the way those two eyes did and even the sweetest melody from all the birds in the world was nothing compared to her voice.
