hey, isn't this easy?
"mika..." jae suk's voice got mika's attention while she was on her bedroom staring at the floor. the door opened startling her, "sorry." jae suk awkwardly chuckled and entered the room holding a cup of water.
"here." he said and handed her the cup. she grabbed it and slowly drank, "t-thank you." mika still sounded traumatized.
jae suk sat beside her and asked, "are you feeling better now?"
mika totally ignored the question and asked him, "is mom here yet?"
"n-no, but i did saw a note on the fridge saying that she's out with her friends."
"kwang soo oppa?"
"he's... still filming."
mika sighed and wiped the tear falling, "why did you help me there?" mika suddenly asked.
"what do you mean? you were being--"
"why?"
"you were being harassed, mika. someone needs--"
"i would rather be harassed than see you."
this got jae suk's blood boiling, "mika, what if i wasn't there? the guy was clearly hurting you! shouldn't you at least thank me for being there? i never--"
"why are you here anyway?"
"i... i just want to know if you're safe."
it then got silent again, both looking at different random things. "why did you break up with her?"
jae suk sighed, "i was too dumb, that's why."
"what?"
"i-i... i'm sorry, mika. for shouting at you and not believing you. i should've listened to you way before the whole cheating thing happened."
"it's okay... i'm sorry too. i've been too harsh on you, i didn't even give you space for you and hyori. i feel like i shouldn't be around your business anymore and--"
"hey, don't think about that, mika." jae suk held her cheek and looked at her face. "i'm sorry, okay?"
a tear fell again from mika's eye. jae suk wiped it with his thumb and looked at her eyes. "i'm sorry too." mika replied back.
jae suk then looked at mika's lips before slowly leaning closer and leave a small distance. such feeling got them closer like that, it's like they want to lock lips together but just as before that would happen, they both heard the front door opening.
jae suk smiled at her and moved away, "get some rest." he said and stood up, walking out of mika's bedroom.
---
"she got harassed?" kwang soo was talking to jae suk at the living room, "again?" he continued.
jae suk looked down trying to answer but he couldn't, "y-yeah."
kwang soo let's out a deep sigh and crossed his arms, "is she okay now, hyung?"
"yeah, i-i talked to her already and she's fine."
"thank you hyung. she would've been dead if you weren't there."
"i'm glad about that too." jae suk fidgeted his hands.
kwang soo walked to the kitchen and opened the fridge, "are you alright, hyung?" he asked as he grab a carton of milk.
"yeah, why?"
"oh, you know." he grabbed a cup, "you and hyori."
"oh..." jae suk sighed again. "we're done now, really."
---
mika sat on her desk, suddenly giving her attention to her phone ringing. "hello?"
"hey, mika." a voice of a very familiar man spoke on the other line.
"w-who is this?"
"don't act like you don't know me, mika... i missed you." mika immediately ended the call and grabbed her bag, rushing outside the office.
i have to get out of here.
just as she got outside the office, a familiar figure was standing right on front of her.
"mika." the guy called who looked like mika's ex two years ago, kim ha joon. (a/n: random name hehe)
"o-oh, ha joon ah."
i thought he's in jail.
"do you wanna stop by for some coffee?"
"s-sure."
i mean, nothing's wrong about just coffee.
after having coffee with ha joon, he offered her a ride back home. mika said yes since there's nothing wrong, it's been a while since they last saw each other.
in the middle of the ride home, mika felt really uncomfortable when ha joon suddenly trailed his free hand on mika's hand up to her shoulder, "are you seeing someone, mika?"
"a-ah... n-no." mika tried moving further but ha joon just continued to trail his hand on mika's neck, "y-you're making me... u-uncomfortable."
"i missed you so much, mika... so much." his hands came to her cheek, making mika shiver because of how scared she is.
"stop it! i'll call the police." mika started tearing up and push his hand hard, making his reflexes immediately slap mika's face.
"don't you dare talk to me like that!" ha joon had no choice but to shout at her and grab her hair, with eyes still focused on the road.
"h-help." mika tried breathing out but she couldn't let it all out because of how hard ha joon is pulling her hair.
"come back home with me, mika."
"never!" just after mika shouted, they quickly encountered a red light. mika suddenly tried taking off her seatbelt so that she can come out while the car is stopped but it didn't turn well.
ha joon got a tighter grip of her hair again, "you shouldn't have wore your seatbelt at the first place, missy." he had no choice but to push her head hard to the front of the--
"STOP!!" mika opened her tearing eyes sitting up from the bed from a terrible nightmare.
"mika." kwang soo quickly entered the room after hearing the scream seeing her crying and panting so much.
he immediately sat beside her asking, "are you alright?" mika couldn't reply a thing and just hugged her brother real tight.
kwang soo hugged her back and whispered, "it's okay, it's just a dream."
