that day, he rushed to hyori's house all looking mad and speechless. he immediately slammed the living room table since hyori was at the sofa near it.
she screamed, "ah why did you do that?! you're scaring our chil--"
"wow, hyori. i'm glad i got curious. if i didn't got any curiosity with me, i would have been fooled my whole life!" jae suk sarcastically laughed.
"what-- what are you talking about?" hyori suddenly got nervous.
"here." he grabbed his phone and showed her what he researched earlier, slamming his phone in front of her, not caring about the cracks.
"every little detail is perfect, hyori. just one single thing."
"wha--what is this??" she referred to a picture of the different sizes of a woman's belly when pregnant.

"you told me you're "5 months pregnant" now. so how come your belly doesn't even make changes with the size?! that's the same belly size you had right when you told mika and i that you're pregnant! you even worry about your weight and told me that you're going on a diet real soon! is it even possible for a pregnant woman not to get their bellies bigger?! hell no!" he shouted at her, not caring about any respect now.
"what?! you're doubting our child?! if he can talk right now, he would've cried for his father doubting!"
"wow, i can't believe you're putting on this act every single day!" jae suk got both his hands on his hips, "you don't even show me any ultrasounds you had because you told me it was "a surprise for the future." what the hell, hyori?!"
hyori got speechless. she was truly exposed, no ways to get him fooled again.
"you just wanted me to care for you everyday!! who's behind this, huh?! did dad told you to act like this?"
"n-no, he didn't." hyori stuttered.
"don't you dare lie to me! did dad plan all of this?!"
"i told you he didn't!!"
jae suk couldn't believe it and just run out of her place just so he could rush to his father's office.
when he got there, he immediately slammed the door open. "hyori's pregnancy is fake, did you do all of this?"
"what? what do you mean--"
"I SAID DID YOU DO ALL OF THIS?!" He had no choice but to shout making his dad flinch and before mr. yoo could answer, he suddenly felt something clenching in his chest.
"dad? dad! are you alright? dad!" some of mr. yoo's guards started running towards him asking if he's alright.
"dad! wake up, dad! can you hear me?!"

mika's rushing footsteps got jae suk's attention at the hospital as he cries on one of the benches in the hall.
his dad was officially called dead before arrival due to a heart attack.
"mika?" jae suk saw her and stood up confused, he didn't even call her about it or anything.
mika didn't hesitate and just ran towards him and took him in her arms real tight, crying as well.
"wha--what are you doing here? how did you know i was here?"
mika sniffs and said, "a-a magician never... reveals her secrets." she then smiled as tears continue to fall.
jae suk felt so much comfort, he never expected to feel the overflowing love in times like this.
the two decided to talk at the hospital rooftop garden since only a few can go there. holding hands with mika, jae suk told her, "i loved him, you know? even if... he's very annoying and all, he's still my father." he started tearing up again.
"i know you do..." mika replied, "s-speaking of father... how's your child with hyori?"
"o-oh..."
jae suk then explained to her everything. this time, he really called it quits with hyori. he never even wanted her at the first place, especially since what she constantly did for 5 months wasn't even a part of his annoying father.
"so... it's all fake?"
jae suk nodded as an answer. he then held her hand tighter, "what hyori did got us apart, mika... now that she's done, is there a chance for you to come back with me now?"
mika immediately knew what he meant. but she feel like it's not right.
"p-please?"
she only let out a sigh and looked at her lap, "i-i don't think i'm ready yet."
"oh.." jae suk looked away from her so she couldn't tell what he felt about it.
"please give me some more... time." mika asked him.
jae suk knew he had to respect her. it's her choice, at least she didn't say no.
after a while of silence, mika asked him, "are you... still leaving for new york? what about your dad?"
"h-he still has some finishing touches to do there. i contacted the clients there in new york and they asked me to finish what he started there. and once i finished it, i can close the whole thing off and let it rest now." jae suk explained to her.

mika decided to ask him, "do you wanna have some ice cream?"
"a-all of a sudden?" they both only let out a laugh, trying to take the pain away.
