(a/n: LAST CHAPTER 😭)

"i'm sorry but we did the best we could do. we did got her back but we don't know when will she wake up from her coma." the doctor felt bad for jae suk who still has his high hopes up.

"no, i-it's okay, doc. as long as we got her back, i'm willing to wait for her even if it takes years, i swear."

he should've been careful with his words.

here he is, still at the hospital with kwang soo and jung hana waiting for already a year and a half.

"hey, mother." jae suk greeted as soon as jung hana got inside the room.

"hey. here, i brought you food, you should at least eat at the cafeteria, there's a lot of food there. you've been sitting in that chair too long." jung hana tried telling him but he shakes his head no, "if it's worth of mika waking up, then i'll stay here."

jung hana sat beside him, "thank you so much for not leaving her." she then held his hand, "you should at least take some rest, i'll take her here."

"b-but, mother... you already took care of her the whole day while i'm at work... let me take care of her at night."

"you're such a sweet boy." jung hana smiled and stood up, "i'll help kwang soo bring dinner here."

as jung hana got outside the room, a loud beep got jae suk's attention, "excuse me, nurse!!!"

and there mika goes again, in the ICU receiving CPR from a bunch of doctors.

please stay, please.

more months quickly passed. mika kept receiving CPRs all over again.

they kept reviving her everytime, but she's still in a coma. whenever she loses her heartbeat, the doctors kept reviving it, it's what jae suk specifically wanted.

he wanted to bring her back.

but what about mika?

"p-please bring her back, doc." jae suk cried as the doctors continue on giving her CPR again.

"i'm sorry to tell you this... but... don't you think that she should be resting by now?"

jae suk froze to his place, "w-what?" his voice got shaky.

"s-she had way too many CPRs. we barely have her."

"no, bring her back, doc." he started to become angry.

"she worked enough, yoo jae suk ssi. i think it's time for her to rest--"

"NO! no, she can't die just like that! bring her back!" the doctor tried calming him down but it's not working.

"BRING HER BACK!!! i-i'll pay you more money, double the price..." jae suk kneeled in front of the doctor flooding with tears, "i... i just want her back... p-please."

the doctor squatted down and looked at him, "if only she can talk at her situation right now, what would she say?"

jae suk stared at the floor, with the question echoing his mind.

"would she tell you to keep going and hurt her?.. s-she may be tired now, that's why she's giving up... p-please, let's stop this and let her rest now."

jung hana who was listening the whole time teared up even more, totally agreeing with the doctor. she squatted down and hugged jae suk.

"please let her rest now. you both have worked hard."

jae suk let out his sobs and just hugged her back, feeling the real sign of giving up.

and there goes mika, finally put in rest after two years of coma.

hey, mika.

how is it up there? i hope you're in a paradise now..

living here must've been hard for you, especially since i wasted your two years in your coma. i should've let you rest, i should've known that you're already tired.

please forgive me, i've become selfish...

did you know that mother hana is dating someone again? i met the guy once and yeah, he seems like a very trustworthy person. i'll let you know if you'll have a new sibling soon!

kwang soo and sun bin are now engaged, can you believe it? they're getting married!! and he even asked me to be his best man, it's an honor!

i wonder how many kids will they have?

oh, also earlier today, i met a lady at a dinner party. her name is na kyung eun, beautiful name right? guess what? heh, she asked for my number. like, i wanted to ask for her number at first too but she got mine quicker than me.

should i get to know her better? i hope you can see my future with her there.

should i make a move on her? what do you think?

look, i want to take another step after what happened to you.

i want to move on.

i hope you'll allow me to move on with my life. don't worry, i'll remember you! why wouldn't i?

i love you mika. i hope you're happy with my parents there while i take care of yours here on earth.
