I was walking in the woods ahead of Bonnie and Damon when Kai came out.

"I heard my name. All good, I hope." he says winking at me, and I roll my eyes.

Kai yammers on about what will happen tonight I pay attention when he starts to walk away.

"Where are you going?" I ask him with a frown.

"Into town. I need to gather some important supplies, why wanna come?" He asks with a teasing smile, my reply has his eyes widening.

"Yes."

"Hell no, you're not going anywhere alone with him." Damon says and I scoff.

"Damon's right Zoe." Bonnie speaks up.

"Good thing I'm the older twin and you don't tell me what to do. I'm a vampire, if he tries anything I'll rip his throat out, besides, who's to say this place isn't what he says it is and he goes off and leaves us in this hell hole?" I ask and Damon sighs glancing at Bonnie.

"Don't look at her, she's not in charge, I can take care of myself." I tell him and stomp over to a smirking Kai.

Before any of them can do anything I grab Kai and speed out of the woods. As we walk into town I see him glancing at me.

"You try anything and I-" He cuts me off with a chuckle.

"You'll rip my throat out, I heard you." He says and I nod." Why did you really want to come with me?" Kai asks and I sigh.

"All I can hear when I'm with you and Bonnie is your hearts beating, all I can smell is your blood traveling through your veins, I wanna feed until I choke on your blood." I tell him and he chuckles again.

"That sounded hot." He says and I glare at him." Sorry." I roll my eyes.

"I'm going to the hospital, I need blood." I tell him.

He nods." One thing before you speed away, they're gonna find out what you're doing when we get back at different times." He says and I sigh." Come on, I won't kill you, you come with me to collect my things and I'll go with you to the hospital." I nod.

"Fine. Where do you need to go?" I ask him and he gives me the address to Elena's house. I roll my eyes but speed us there. He goes inside and when he comes out he has a bag.

I hold my hand out for the bag and he rolls his eyes but gives it to me. I unzip it only to find junk. I scoff and hand it back to a grinning Kai.

"Important stuff he said." I say with my own grin shaking my head as he shrugs." You just wanted to get out of digging." I tell him and he laughs.

We start our walk to the hospital and I play with my fingers passing glances his way. Kai finally gets tired of it and speaks up.

"Just ask me, you've been speeding us all around but now you wanna take a walk with me? Just ask." Kai says and I sigh.

"Why me?" I ask him. He looks at me with a weird look on his face and shrugs.

"I don't know to be honest. It was a feeling. When I first saw you, you were walking the streets at night. You were admiring the stars and I was admiring you. You looked so beautiful, like an angel. All I knew at that moment was that I wanted you- needed you. Now you're mine." He tells me and I scoff.

"Just because I'm stuck here with you, doesn't mean I'm yours." I say angrily.

Kai laughs darkly.

" Maybe you don't want me now. But you will. You will when you learn no one will ever love you like me." Kai says and I freeze.

"You don't love me, you don't even know me." I spit out again and he turns to me.

"I know your favorite color is red, your favorite animal is a deer, and your favorite book is To Kill a Mockingbird. I know Damon is like a brother to you and despite Bonnie being cruel and putting your emotions to the side you love her wholly." Kai says and I let out a shaky breath.

I grab his arm and speed him to the hospital I leave him at the end of the hall and go to the room with the blood bags. I quickly drain 10 within 5 minutes and walk out wiping my lips. I bump into Kai and he grabs my waist as I stumble. I flinch as he brings his hand up but all he does is wipe blood off my chin.

He stares into my eyes gently." How did you know all that about me?" I ask him and he grips my waist tighter.

"You like to draw dear when you're bored, Damon also teases you about not killing Bambi, You usually draw with either a red pen or pencil which is weird for an artist, and since you've been here you've read To Kill a Mockingbird 20 times." Kai tell me and Im shocked.

"You've been watching me." I state.

He smiles." It's hard not to, you're an angel. Come on Bambi, they should be done digging by now." Kai says and takes my hand. I let him hold my hand until we reach the woods, then I slowly pull away.

We reach Bonnie and Damon.

"Looks like we got back just in time." Kai says.

"His important supplies were junk." I tell Damon and he rolls his eyes.

"Anyways." Kai says exaggerating the word giving me a look that I smirk at." Let's get down there and-"

"No, we aren't going anywhere until you show me the spell." Bonnie says and I sigh.

"Okay." Kai says and stuffs his hands in his pockets.

"Are we literally not going anywhere?" Damon asks.

"Seriously?" I ask looking between Bonnie and Kai.

"Fine. You don't want to show me the spell, then you can do it yourself. You want my magic. Take it." She says holding out her arm.

"Uh-oh, she's being brave." Kai says looking at me with a smug face.

"Enou-" I hear a crack and my neck throbs.

Great time to snap my neck, Damon.
