The Siphons obsession

I wake up to feather like touches all over my face I open my eyes to see Kai hovering over me with a smirk. He kisses my forehead then moves down to my nose and cheek. I groan and turn over.

"Go away." I mumble sleepy.

Kai huffs," But I want to bother Damon and Elena." He says and I sigh.

"I don't want to see anyone." I say in a bad mood.

"Your phone has been ringing all morning, Damon called I answered, he was very upset about that, he said if you don't go over to his house he would come here." I groan at that.

"Fine." I say and roll out of bed. I change and speed ka and I over to the Salvatore boarding house.

"Hello." Kai calls out as he enters the house. I follow behind him." Whew. Forgot how massive this house was." Kai says entering the room with Elena and Damon. There eyes widen when they see me and Kai looks at me confused.

"Don't, just don't say it, or anything." I grumble and sit on a coach, curled in on my self.

"Excuse her she's a little grumpy this morning." Kai tells them and I roll my eyes.

"Wheres Caroline?" I ask Elena and she winces.

'"Sooo, funny story. Tiny Caroline burried old Ms.Cuddles in the woods-" Damon says and I chuckle.

"I know, I helped her. Let me guess she feels bad and is trying to fin it? I think I'll help her." I say standing up.

"Wait, Zoë happy-"I cut off Elena.

"I said Don't!" I snap and she flinches.

I speed off to the woods where I know Caroline will be, I see her and Stefan.

"Before either of you say anything, if you wish me a happy birthday I will spend the day snapping your neck because this birthday is far from being happy." I tell them. Caroline pulls me into a hug.

" Here to help?" Stefan asks holding a shovel out to me. I grab it with a smile. Me and Caroline start to dig in different spots.

"You know you can at least help." Caroline tells Stefan.

"Nah, not big on digging, Calluses." Stefan says and I laugh.

"That's a good reason." I say smirking at Stefan and he gives me a smile. Caroline gives me a look and I shrug.

"You burry corpses all the time." Caroline whines.

"Ya but I don't dig them up." Stefan says, I shake my head and keep digging.

"How far do you think we dug?" I ask Caroline, she shrugs.

"Less than a foot, maybe a foot. Not sure." She says and I sigh and drop the shovel.

"Ok, I'm already over this." Caroline scoffs at me and Stefan laughs.

I lay down by Stefan and look through the leaves up at the sky.

"So do you really think finding that teddy bear... will make everything right in the world?" Stefan asks and I laugh.

"You know what, you are right. This is such a waste of time, even though Zoe has laughed more now then she has in a month, I should be at a dive bar picking fights with a stranger in order to feel pain." Caroline snaps at Stefan.

"Ouch, I think you hurt her feelings." I mock whisper to Stefan.

"Look if you think I'm insane I get it, I probably am... but nobody is forcing you to be here." Caroline tells him.

"I should probably stay. Keep an eye on you. You know in case you have... a psychotic breakdown." Stefan says and hand me a flask.

Hours later and 50 holes dug by Caroline Stefan speaks up again after 30 minutes of passing the flask back and forth between us.

"Hey is that an M&M?" He ask pointing, I cover my mouth trying not to laugh at Caroline's quick response.

"Where?"

"Right there. Little to the left. Little to the left. Right there. Ri--wha--whoa. Oh. Sorry, it was just a leaf." After that I burst out laughing.

"Is this funny to you?" Caroline snaps at us.

I nod." Well we are in the middle of the woods... searching for a teddy bear buried in a shallow grave by a 9-year-old version of you and Zoe. I cant even say that with a straight face. So yeah, that is funny." Stefan admits.

"Your drunk. Give me that." Caroline says and try's to take the flask from him.

"No. No. No. You have more ground to cover." Stefan tells her.

"Your a jerk." She says and goes back to digging.

"Jerk huh, wow you sound angry." Stefan teases nd I stand finally getting what he's doing. I frown and hug myself.

"I'm not... angry okay? I'm annoyed. I'm going through a highly emotional situation right nw... and your just sitting there mocking me."

"Defiantly angry." Stefan says back. 

"Well you should be, your mom is dying and your friend is stuck in some netherworld and you two are here trying to find some stuffed animal?" Stefan asks.

"Shut up!" Caroline yells and shoves him.

"What do you want me to do Stefan? Break down crying because if feels like my world is being torn apart around me and there's nothing I can do about it?" I ask and they both turn to me.

"My mother figure almost died the other day, I might never see my sister again and I'm a ripper. I let myself feel and I might accidently tear someone's throat out." I snap. " Now I remember why I wanted to spend my birthday alone, cuz you just don't get it." With a sigh I walk away from them wanting to be alone and clear my head.

I go back to the Salvatore house to see its a mess. Kai, Damon, Jeremy and Elena stood around the living room. 

"What the hell happened here?" I ask my voice hoarse from crying.

"Happy birthday Zoe." Jeremy says and I scoff, raising my arms up I let them fall to my sides.

"He said it. " I whimper.

"Zoe-" Elena trails off not knowing what to say.

"I knew if someone said it I'd break." Tears fall down my cheeks. Sobs tumble from my chest and Kai strides over and pulls me into a hug. I grip the back of his jacket as my legs go weak.
