The Siphons obsession

Caroline wants me to act like I still have my humanity since no one knew I turned it off. I've been avoiding everyone, I travel a few towns over to feed.

I was draining people from a bar a few towns over when Caroline called. "I'm throwing a Rave, you better show up." Caroline speaks and I roll my eyes.

"What are best friends for?" I say and she giggles before hanging up. I drop the last body to the floor before hanging up. 

I speed back to my new apartment because Kai kinda moved into my old one and I changed.

I check my phone to see texts and calls mostly from Kai and Damon, but also Bonnie? Whatever, it's probably a trick.

I was dancing between two girls when I saw Bonnie. Holly shit, so Bonnie is alive.

"Bonnie?! Hey, dance with me!" I yell and pull her in.

"Zoe? Oh my god, Zoe I missed you so much, Caroline turned off her humanity and-" I stop her with an eye roll.

"God I forgot how annoying you could be." I tell her and at first, she looks confused but then it turns to realization.

"You turned it off. Why?" Bonnie asks and I scoff.

"Technically, Caroline convinced me too, anyways I'm trying to have fun and you're ruining it." I tell her and walk away, I go to the bar where it's a lot quieter when someone taps me on my shoulder.

I turn around to see Kai and Damon.

"You guys made it!" I shout, pulling Damon into a hug, and then pulling Kai into a kiss.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa." Damon shouts and pulls me away from a shocked Kai, I giggle and Kai smiles at me.

"What the hell Zoe?!" Damon asked angrily.

"You know usually I'd care but right now, Caroline was right, turning off my humanity was the best idea ever." I tell him I pull a girl to me and sink my teeth into her neck, Damon pulls me away and compels the girl to leave. I growl as I throw Damon to the floor and slam my heel into his chest.

He groans and grabs at my foot.

"Don't get in my way Damon." I snap at him and speed off.

I was dancing in the middle of the dance floor when I saw Kai making his way to me. I grab his arm and pull him close to me as I dance, I move my arms over his shoulders and lean into his ear so he can hear me.

"Are you here to try and get my humanity back on?" I ask him and he shakes his head.

"Later." He says and I smirk before smashing my lips to his. "You look sexy in your little outfit, even though it makes me very angry that other people get to see you in it." He says with a growl at the end, I shiver. He pulls me closer by my ass and I giggle pulling him into another kiss.

I pull away from Kai as I feel my phone vibrate.

'Plan B is a go, they tried to turn my humanity back on, you should clear out before they get to you.' I sigh at Caroline's text.

"Time for me to bounce, sorry babe." I tell him and speed off.

There was a knock on my apartment door but before I could open it, it burst open making me fly back with a groan.

Someone walks in chanting. I'm lifted up and tied to a chair, my vision foggy.

"I can't see." I mumble.

"Ya, sorry babe, but if you can't see you can't run." I hear Kai say.

"Let me go." I say angrily.

"Yeah, I can't do that." Kai tells me.

"Why the hell not?!" I ask getting angry.

"Because I love you!" Kai yells back and I freeze." Because Bonnie loves you, because Damon loves you, and Elena and Caroline, because Liz loved you and she would hate to see what you and Caroline have turned into." Kai says and I let out a weak breath.

"Zoe?" I hear Bonnie.

"No. I lost everything and everyone, and it hurt." I say on the brink of tears and I know if I cry my humanity switch will flip right back on." I killed people and if you make me turn it on all it's going to be is pain."

"And I'll help you through it, just come back to me." Kai says I shake my head.

"Please? I need you." Kai says shakily and I sob. Sob after sob tumbles out of me.

"What have I done?" I cry out. Soon I'm cut loose and my vision clears and Kai holds me close. Bonnie looks at us with uncertainty but soon accepts it as she watches Kai comfort me as he has been since the merge.
