Spencer
I couldn't wait until the weekend.
The problem with that was it was only Monday. I had 5 more days until it was the weekend where I could be alone in my room with the sound of my music and my dark thoughts.
"We have some very important people coming over for dinner tonight and you need to be there, so I hope you don't have any plans with your friends," I heard my mom say to me as I grabbed a granola bar from the pantry.
"Why do I have to be there?" I shot back at her.
"It'll help with the business," is all she could say. "You're father and I will also be going out of town next week for our overseas clients,"
"That's funny because I didn't see an increase in my bank account," I mumbled hoping she wouldn't hear me.
"Spencer!" she yelled.
"Yeah, yeah. I'll be there tonight," I said, slamming the door behind me as I left for school.
My parents always thought that by leaving town for however long they did, they could just give me money for the time they're gone. If they were gone for a week they would end up putting 5 grand in my bank account.
They had started this bank account under their names when I was 12 and it was finally transferred over to my name when I turned 16. You could say that I had quite a bit of money in that account now because of how often they are gone.
I'm just glad that I know my sister will be in good hands while they are gone and I'm alone.
My parents always talked to one of her friend's parents to see if they could watch Peyton while they were out of town. The number of people they had bribed to watch Peyton was insane to me. Those people obviously said yes to them because of the large amount of money they were receiving for it.
With all of my thoughts going through my head, I had somehow made it to school. I grabbed my backpack and hopped out of my car, locking it behind me. I walked into the school and started heading to my locker. As I was putting some textbooks in and grabbing some for my first few classes, someone came up to me and began talking.
"Spencer, I have a question,"
"What do you want Dylan?" I asked as I kept on getting out what I would need.
"Can you give me a ride today?"
"No,"
"Why not?" he pouted.
"I'm going somewhere after school, get someone else to give you a ride," I said, shutting my locker.
"Please," he begged.
"No," I said and left him alone, and began walking to my first class of the day.
I heard footsteps following close behind me before I heard more chatter from who I thought was Dylan again.
"I didn't know Dylan was your brother,"
"Not my brother," I said to him.
"Oh?" he asked.
"He's my cousin, sadly," I said back, continuing to walk with him close behind. "What do you want, Harry?" I asked clearly not in the mood to talk to anyone.
"I wanted to know if you would like to hang out sometime?" he asked.
"I'm busy,"
"C'mon," he pleaded.
"Desperation doesn't look good on anyone," I said.
"So you're saying I look good?" he raised an eyebrow with a slight smirk on his face.
