After driving around for about 15 minutes, Harry finally pulled into a packed parking lot. I looked around to see if anything would give away where we were. It looked quite familiar to me, but I still didn't know quite where we were or what we were going to be doing.
"Harry, where are we?" I asked him as I kept looking around.
"You don't know?" he asked with a slight grin on his face. "Your dad said that you used to come here all the time and loved it,"
I turned my body and looked out the back window. I noticed an all too familiar arcade building with excited kids running around. A huge smile came over my face as I looked back at Harry. He saw that I finally understood where we were and smiled at me.
"You brought me to an arcade?" I asked.
"I did," he confirmed.
"Let's go!" I yelled as I took off my seat belt and was already opening up the door and hopping out.
I ran around to Harry's side and waited as he got out slowly. As soon as he touched his feet on the ground, I took hold of his left arm and tried my best to drag him in the direction of the arcade. He laughed at my attempt and followed after me as he clicked the button on his keys to lock his truck.
"Someone is excited," he grinned as he wrapped his arm around my shoulders.
"I haven't been here since my dad took me a few years ago," I said. "My friends won't ever come here with me because they think it's too childish," I explain.
"How can they not want to come here? This place is amazing!" he cheered. "I'll always come here with you,"
"You shouldn't be saying that," I replied. "I'll be bringing you here every single day,"
"I'm okay with that," he laughed lightly. "What are we doing first?" he asked as we walked into the crowded building.
"It all looks like fun," I commented as I scanned the large room filled with numerous games. "What did you have in mind for us to do when you decided on this place?" I asked, looking up at him.
"The main thing that caught my eye was the mini-golf and the batting cages," he said.
"I fucking suck at mini-golf," I laughed.
"Your dad said that when I told him about it,"
"I'm sure he told you all about the times I would fail miserably trying to get the ball in the hole,"
"He sure did and I wish that I could've been there to see how bad you were," he laughed at me.
"You can see me fail miserably today then,"
"Do you want to do the mini-golf now or later on?"
"Let's do mini-golf now, random arcade games after that, and then we can do the batting cages," I answered. "This way we can get the golf out of the way and if I get hit by a baseball then I can go home afterward," I explain.
"You won't get hit by a baseball," Harry said as he led me over to the mini-golf area. "I'll show you how to properly hit and how to stand. You'll be just fine,"
"Mr. football player knows how to play baseball as well?" I teased him. "What can't you do?"
He rolled his eyes at me before speaking to the man at the mini-golf stand. "I need 2 clubs and 2 balls please," he said as he took out his wallet.
"$20, please," he said as he handed him the things he asked for.
Harry grabbed both golf clubs and bright white golf balls from his after he set down a $20 bill in front of him. He smiled lightly at him before leading me over to where the small course began. He handed me my golf club and golf ball as we got to the first hole.
