Spencer

I wish I could have gotten to sleep in today. That's all I ever want to do on my birthday. Well, any day.

I got woken up by my phone ringing. It surprised me because the people that would want to get ahold of me know that they should text and not call. But I guess this one person didn't know this about me just yet.

That person would be Harry.

I guess I thought that he was maybe joking or something about him showing up. I thought that he would be playing games about coming to my house on my birthday. But I was wrong. Very wrong.

I picked up my phone and hit the green accept button.

"Hello, Styles. What can I do for you at 9 in the morning on a Tuesday?" I sarcastically asked.

"I told you I was coming over today, are you going to let me in?" he asked.

"You're here already?" I asked, sitting up in bed. "Your call just woke me up. I'm not even ready,"

"I don't care if you're ready or not," he responded. "Are you going to let me in?"

"You're going to need to come through the side door. It should be unlocked. Don't worry about my parents seeing you, they're not home," I answered.

"Where is your room?" I heard him begin walking.

"You're on your own for that one," I laughed. "Good luck finding my room," I said and hung up the phone.

I heard the door open upstairs and a loud huff. It took everything in me to not laugh at the state that Harry was in. It was funny to me that he had to find my room all on his own.

"Spencer!" I heard him yell.

I stayed silent.

"Can I at least get some kind of a hint to find you?" I heard him ask.

I lightly laughed as I got out of my bed. I went to the corner of my room and began shuffling through my stash of vinyl. I chose my all-time favorite and placed it on my record player. The music was louder than I expected, making me jump slightly. I turned the volume down and hoped that Harry wouldn't be able to find me.

I got back into my bed and got underneath my covers. I leaned back against my headboard and began scrolling through my phone. Might as well be entertained as I wait for who knows how long for Harry to find my bedroom.

"Spencer?" I heard him ask yet again.

I could tell that he was now in the basement. His voice and steps were getting closer and closer. I heard him getting even closer which made me get more and more anxious.

"Spence?" he asked as he opened my door. "Found you," he grinned.

"It's about time," I laughed as I threw my phone down next to me. "I was starting to think that you were getting lost,"

"You could've given me some hints or something," he suggested.

"How would that be any fun?" I asked. "What do you have in that bag?"

"I got you a small cake," he said, pulling it out of the plastic bag.

"Don't be scared, come sit down by me. I promise I won't bite," I grinned at him.

He placed the plastic bag down on my desk and came over to me. He sat down on my bed and scooted his way over closer to me so he was also leaning against the headboard.

"Why did you get me a cake?" I asked him.

"Well, it's your birthday so I thought that you would like a cake," he said. "Everybody needs a cake on their birthday,"
