Spencer
My birthday was really enjoyable yesterday.
That was really saying something because I don't exactly enjoy my birthday at all.
I don't even think I could fully explain why I didn't like my birthday. The main reason that I didn't enjoy it was that I always had nobody to spend it with. My parents and sister were somehow always out of town when my birthday came around. That's why I usually wanted to be alone on that day.
Being alone on that day meant that nobody could hurt me. I couldn't feel like nobody wanted me around them. They chose that for themselves before I could get remotely involved. Now I choose to be alone for my birthday. I don't want to be around my friends. My family. Absolutely nobody. My birthdays alone consisted of me in my room watching Netflix, listening to my music that played from my record player, and eating all sorts of junk. I did it all alone. I thoroughly enjoyed it too.
That was until Harry.
Now that I know what it feels like to be with someone on my birthday, I don't think I want to be alone like in the past years. I know what it feels like to be around someone that truly cares and wants to be around me. It felt really nice. To be in somebody's presence. To actually be wanted to be around.
I'm really glad that Aspyn told me to get out of my comfort zone. To try out not being alone on my birthday. I'll have to thank her for that.
Speaking of Harry, he was still here.
After the fiasco of me smashing some cake in his face, we ended up in my bedroom for the night. We didn't do anything of that sort, we just hung out for the rest of the night.
We ordered some pizza and watched movies all night. Harry and I also finished up my cake last night. Sometime during our third movie, we had fallen asleep. I only knew that because I woke up in the middle of the night to my TV not playing anything and Harry fast asleep next to me.
As of now, I was just waking up.
It was almost 11 in the morning. I have never slept this late even when I wanted to sleep for a while. I looked over to my right and saw that Harry was still asleep on his stomach next to me. He was cuddling up into a pillow and my blanket. That made more sense of why I was cold. He had stolen my blankets. I laughed lightly to myself.
I got out of my bed and went into my bathroom. I shut the door behind me and actually went to the bathroom. After that, I washed my hands and left the bathroom to head back to my bed. I climbed in and tried to take some of my blankets back from his grasp. No matter how hard I tried to pull them away, he held on even tighter. I guess I don't get to be warm.
I pulled my hair up into a messy bun to get it away from my face. I picked up my phone from my nightstand and checked all of my social media. As I did this, my phone began ringing. I had an incoming call from Bynley. I quickly answered it to stop the blaring noise from going on any longer.
"Hello?" I whispered.
"Why are you so quiet? Did you just wake up?" she asked.
"I did, yeah. Why did you call?"
"I wanted to know if you wanted to hang out today. We haven't hung out in a while outside of school,"
"I might be able to. I'm not quite sure if I have any plans yet or not. I will let you know if anything changes," I answered.
"Would these plans have anything to do with Mr. Harry Styles himself?" she teased.
I knew by myself talking on the phone right now that there was a chance of me waking up Harry. As I suspected, I was doing just that. Harry began stirring in his sleep. I looked over to find him still lying on his stomach but now with his elbows against the mattress. He was rubbing his hands up and down his face.
"I have to go, I'll let you know if my plans change," I quickly said before hanging up the phone.
I set my phone back down on my nightstand before looking over at Harry. He was still in the same position he was in before, but now he was looking at me. He looked very confused and tired from just waking up.
"What time is it?" is the first thing he asked.
"A little bit past 11," I answered.
"I have to go somewhere with my mom today," he said, throwing his head back on his pillow. "I'm gonna have to leave soon,"
"That's alright," I nodded. "Where do you have to go with her?" I asked, continuing the conversation.
"I don't really know," he shrugged. "She just told me that I had to go with her somewhere. Speak of the devil herself," he said, showing me his phone screen of an incoming call.
I laughed at our current situation.
"I'll be home soon," he said into his phone. "Yes, I know. I'll see you soon," He hung up the phone and loudly sighed.
"Was she wondering where you were?" I laughed.
"Yeah," he nodded. "How did I end up sleeping here?"
"All I know is that we were watching movies and the next thing I know, I'm waking up in the middle of the night with you passed out,"
"I'm sorry for falling asleep," he apologized.
"No need to apologize, it's completely fine," I hurried out. "You actually made my entire day amazing yesterday, so I guess thanks for that,"
"You're welcome," he nodded as he slowly got out of my bed. "Can I use your bathroom?"
"Go for it," I nodded.
He went into my bathroom and shut the door behind him. While he did that, I decided to text Brynley to tell her that I could hang out with her today after all. I put my phone back down just as Harry was emerging from my bathroom. I looked up at him and saw his panicked state.
"Are you alright?"
"Yeah," he nodded. "My mom keeps calling and texting,"
"You better go then,"
"Kicking me out already?" he teased.
"I'm not," I laughed. "But if your mom is wanting you home, then you better get home. I don't want to be on her side without actually knowing her,"
"Let me get changed then," he said as he grabbed his clothes off of my desk.
Before we had gotten into bed last night for our movie marathon, I had given Harry some of my oversized clothes that he could change into. I knew that they would fit him because they were far too big on him. I was right in the end because they fit him just perfectly.
"Return them when you get the chance, just go before your mom kills you," I laughed as I started pushing him towards my bedroom door.
"Okay, okay," he said, picking up all of his things before heading to my door.
"Nobody is home, you can let yourself out,"
"When I see you next, I want to talk about what I said last night," he pointed at me.
"What part of last night? You said quite a bit of things,"
"I'll let you figure that out," he smirked. "Until then, Spencer," he laughed as he left my room and booked it up the basement stairs.
There was something about him that I couldn't figure out.
Every time we've hung out, it's always been the most fun I've ever had. I don't know if it was something about him, me, or even both of us, but it was always memorable. I wish that I had actually spoken to him sooner. Think of all the great times we could've been having.
I just want to know what it was that he wanted to talk to me about. It's about something he said last night. But he said quite a bit of things last night. How was I supposed to know the one thing that he wanted to speak to me about?
The only thing that I could think of is what he said after I put cake in his face. He said that he thought he liked me. Is that what he wanted to speak to me about?
If it is, I may have to agree with him.
I think I actually like him. Maybe a bit too much at this point.
