Peter's POV
I purposely give her the grossest name I could think of. I smirk at her. She's glaring at me.
"Any preferred room, sir?" I turn to the receptionist.
"No, just see that it's next to Bertha's." I smile and she gives me the most fake tight lipped smile.
"And how many nights?"
"One, isn't that right Bertha?" I look at Riley.
"It sure is Chet, I mean Chase." She grins and my smile falters.
She took it a step to far now. How dare she call me her potential lovers name. She had to have seen how being around him made me feel! She must not care at all. Our whole rift between us right now, is because of him and that were "just friends."
The receptionist types quickly Into the computer with her gold overly long fingernails.
"Okay sir, and that will be a total of 1700 dollars." She folds her hands in front of her and my jaw drops.
"850 a room for one night?"
"Sir, if you can't meet the expenses" she looks at my still bare chest and cut off shorts.
" I'm going to have to ask you to leav-" I cut her short
"I can meet the expenses."
I grab 1 of the 30 some wads of a hundred 100 dollar bills. Purposely pulling out 17 bills and placing it into her hands. She reaches under the desk without looking and pulls out 2 gold keys and practically tosses them at me.
Putting the money away I lead Riley to where are rooms are. People are staring at us, they are all dressed in fancy outfits. I feel slightly out of place. I toss the Riley's pair of room keys up and over my head assuming that she will catch them. I speed up and unlock my door. Riley reaches her door and presses the key in the door as I enter mine and shut it.
The room is very nice, black soft carpet and a large kingside do bed with a black and gold comforter, black and gold pillows on top. There's a hallway to the left.
Walking further in, I place the duffel near the bed in front of the night stand. The night stand has a remote on it, but I see not TV. I press the on button and a gold rimmed flat screen TV descends from the ceiling in front of the bed and turns on. Nodding in approval I head past the TV into the kitchen. There's a fridge.
Opening it, revealing a heaven. There are apples, oranges, bananas, bread, yogurts, cherries, strawberries, whip cream.
Hmm strawberries and whip cream...and Riley.
Shutting the fridge and ignoring the rest of the contents, I stalk bag to the bed and fall in it face down.
Why does Riley have to be so difficult. She knows that I want her, I told her I feel something for her, she said she felt it to. But noooo, she sais that she'd only just met me.
What's her problem!
If you feel something for someone then that's just it!
Ugh!
"I need some air. She's driving me crazy."
Pulling myself up I make sure I have the room key and I leave. I start down the hall. I'll just go check out the hotel, then I'll need to actually go get clothes.
Wait, I should get clothes first.
Turning around I nearly knock over a person. Dang why was she walking so close to me...she looks up.
"Oh, uhm. I'm sorry."
She brushes a gold lock of curly hair from her pale face, and looks up at me from her short height, with blue eyes. She is really pretty, not as beautiful as Riley though. This thought makes me frown.
"I shouldn't have been walking so close behind you." She blushes and I smirk revealing some teeth. Her mouth opens in and o form.
Yea, I'm hot.
This hotel stay might turn out to be fun, even if I can't stay with Riley. I brush the price of curly hair that keeps straying back behind her ear. She turns a brighter shade of red. Touching her, I feel nothing, and I know that if it would have been Riley I was touching, id feel magic on my finger tips.
Speaking of the devil, Riley emerges from her room and closes the door behind herself. We make eye contact. I break first and she stops and stairs at the interaction. She's close enough to hear everything that id say. She drives me crazy, I think I'll drive her crazy.
"I'm Chet, nice to meet you." I take her hand and shake it. She blushes furiously.
"I'm Maryland, I like the name Chet." She giggles, it's high pitched and a little annoying.
"A lot of people do sweet heart." I shoot a glance towards Riley.
Her face impassive as she walks past us. I grin back down at the girl.
"Wanna go to my room?" I say while I know Riley can still hear me. If that doesn't get Riley's attention, I don't know what will.
I lead the girl to my room and toss a glance over my shoulder to see if she even looked back. She's gone though. I truth and lead the girl in forcing a smile as she looks up at me.
