Chapter 57

Peters POV
Riley's mom and granddad should be coming in any second. And there they go. I can tell from the shocked expression on Riley's face as the tears stream freely from her face.

She's so beautiful. Her mom comes and stands on the side of me, I know granddad is behind me and Damon most likely too. My leg hurts, but I'll get through it.

"I hope I didn't miss much. " Lorraine says

"Right on time. " I say. My eyes never leaving Riley's face.

She tries to calm her self and fans her eyes. She finally looks back down at me with those gorgeous eyes.

"Riley. I knew from the very moment that I met you, that I could never leave you alone. Once I saw your beautiful face, I knew I would never be able to walk away from you as long as I lived. Your so smart and kind, and sassy when you want to be. Very strong, and strong willed. Your an exquisite person, the most amazing person that I'll ever be fortunate enough to meet."

She sniffles but I'm not done yet. "Even though I've known you for the short time that I have, I'm positive that I will love you forever, that designed just for you. "

I pull a ring pop from my left pocket and she rolls her eyes, smiles and laughs through the tears.

The room errors into a few "huh's?" And confused "what?" At the sight of the ring pop, which makes me chuckle.

"Boy, you didn't get me grand daughter a real rin-" her granddad says angrily but I cut him off by holding up my finger.

I open it and she holds out her left hand for me to put the ring on. I shake my head and point to the right hand.

"Peter, rings go on the left hand and the ring finger." Riley says still giggling.

"I know. "

I slide it on her finger and pull out the actual ring from my right pocket and Riley, her mother, her granddad, Damon, and just about everyone gasps or say "aww" at the sight of it."

"Oh my gosh Peter. This ring is amazing. When did you have time to get this?" Riley asks shocked.

"Riley, will you except this ring. And will you marry me?" I say. Tears prickling in my own eyes. I love this girl so much.

Everyone in the room goes dead silent while I wait for an answer. She stairs at me for so long, I start to doubt that she'll except it.

"Put the boy out of his misery!" A deep voice yells from one of the tables behind us.

She still doesn't respond. I offer her my most sincere and loving smile. I need her to say yes.

"Riley. I need an answer." I say almost choking on my words. I have never been so nervous.

"I don't know what to say. " She whispers though the tears.

"Say yes! if you love him. " A woman from somewhere yells.

"Yes. YES. I will marry you."

The whole room bursts into hoots and cat calls. I struggle to my feet and she stands as I pull her into a big hug and kiss her deeply.

I slide the ring on her ring finger and tell her I love her.

"Peter I love you too. You mean so much to me. I love you with all that I have. " She replies.

I sigh a sigh of relief. This will forever be the happiest moment of my life.

I turn towards the crowd and raise my arms in victory which makes them all go crazy again. Her granddad pats me on the shoulder and actually smiles at me.
