Peter POV
Riley and I head back to the house and she's still bubbly and happy. I smile to myself knowing that I'm the reason why she's so happy right now.Pulling into the driveway, Riley undoes her seat belt and is anxious to get into the house. But before we can get out the car Lorraine pops her head out the door and holds up her finger signaling for us to stay put.
"I want to know what the suprise issss." Riley whines.
"I know Mrs.Impatient. " I laugh to myself and move from the drivers side and get into the back. Riley follows me.
Lorraine and granddad come out the house with huge smiles on their faces. Lorraine gets in the drivers side and granddad takes passenger.
We drive steadily and Riley keeps playing with her ring. It's beautiful on her. A ring fit for a queen. I take her hand and kiss it.
"How did you know the ring would fit?" Riley asks
I lean over towards her and grin. "I didn't."
She laughs and the car slows to a stop in front of a massive house. Did Lorraine just stop driving because Riley laughed? Who's house is this anyways?
"Okay we are here." Lorraine chirps happily getting out the car.
"This is the house?" Granddad asks.
"Yup. And the man that is showing us around should already be inside. His name is James, he told us to just come right in."
We all get out the car and walk, me and Riley hobble, up to the house. It's huge and beautiful so far.
The door swings open and a tall man with thinning grey hair stands in the doorway with a black suit and blue tie. He looks to be in about his fifties.
"Hi, you must be Lorraine. " He holds his hand out to Lorraine as we step through the doors.
"Yes, and this is my father" she motions to granddad "and this is my daughter." She motions to Riley.
"And this is my boyfriend. " Riley says touching my chest with her left hand. Flashing her ring. "I meant my fiancé. " Riley smiles up to me and I lean down to kiss her lips.
"Well let's get started then, shall we?" James leads us further into the house after shaking all of our hands.
"This is the living room, as you can see. " He starts. I zone out thinking about Riley. One day we will have our own house.
The floor is wooden and very smooth as if it's just been polished. The fire place on the left wall is surrounded by a whole entire brick wall. All the to other walls are white and bare.
"Can I go over the house on my own? Well with my fiancé? " I ask the man politely.
"Erm, sure." He looks from Riley to me.
"Come?" I lead Riley I into the next room. The dining room. It's huge with a small black framed glass chandelier.
"This would be great for family dinners." Riley comments.
I nod and lead her to the next room which is the kitchen. The left wall is completely lined with granite counter tops with built in wooden cabinets above it and a black stove in the center.
There's a stack of papers neatly lined up along side the fridge on he counter.
There's an all black fridge near the counters which looks out of place in a way. There's a round center piece counter in the very center of the room. It's held up by wood with cabinets built in under it.
"This is extremely nice." I say to her quietly. I can hear the rest of them coming into the dining room.
"Let's go check upstairs?" She asks me nicely.
I nod and we walk happily upstairs. The upstairs has four door on the left and and one door at the very end.
The first door we go opens to reveal a large room with burgundy walls and white carpet. Why the heck is the carpet white? That's bound to get dirty.
The second room is slightly smaller than the first but with no carpet and white walls. The floor, as downstairs is clean and shiny.
The third room is about the size of the first and has no carpet and white walls.
The fourth room is the larger than the first and also has no carpet, revealing a shiny floor and white walls.
The room at the very end. Is the room that I know I'd like to have with Riley If her mom allows me to move in...
"Oh my gosh. This has to be my room. " Riley squeals hobbling forward with a death grip on my hand, pulling me with her .
There's a huge opening widow and balcony to the back yard. Riley slides open the door and we step outside into the warm air.
There is a patio made of brick down below with a built in fire pit. There's a lot of spacing and then a built in pool with a pool covering over it. There are some random trees places here and there. It's amazing. This yard is huge, this house is huge.
"I love it!" She squeals happily turning to kiss me on the mouth.
"You kiss me like I'm buying it. " I laugh out loud.
"Well you are living here with me though. And I can kiss you if I want. " she declares.
"Not unless I say you can."
"What. Okay. " She stalks to hobble away.
I try to kiss her. " Nope. Not unless I say." She sticks out her tongue.
I grab her face and hop over closer and kiss her. I wrap my arm around her so she can't get away. These are my lips.
"I see you've found the best bed room in the house. " James says from the room entrance.
I break the kiss and stare at Riley.
"Yea. She loves it. " I say pecking her nose.
"Of course she does. I like it too. " Granddad says. "I'd also like you to quit making out with my grand daughter knowing that I'm in the area. "
"I thought you all were down stairs still. " I say in defense. "And I'm going to marry her anyhow. " I add. We all know what happens on the honeymoon. Granddad glares at me.
"I'll take it. " Lorraine says happily. "We can move in right away. "
"Okay that's great. I'll go get the papers for the paperwork." James says proudly.
"So can I call you dad now. " I ask Riley's granddad.
"Hell no." Is his reply and he shuffles out of the room making all of us burst into laughter. Not before I could see the small smile on his face though.
I think he's finally warming up to me.
