I turned over in my bed, now laying on my stomach kicking my legs back and forth in excitement.
The talk with Alex went...well?
She didn't pull a knife on me or anything.. so I call that a successful conversation.
Now that I'm not on edge about the situation with the girl a few streets away, I can finally focus on different, more pressing matters.
Grinning down at the note like an idiot, I quickly typed in the numbers that were scribbled down on the crinkled paper.
I was about to press the "call" button but stopped myself midway- grabbing a pillow and screaming into it.
Mustering up the courage to call, I reached for the button, only to withdraw my hand once more and flail around in my bed geeking out.
This is so nerve wrecking.
Maybe I should just text instead?
I picked up the note and studied the words and numbers intently, moving my braids out of my face.
Id be lying if I said that I didn't grip the damn thing like my life depended on it.
Even his handwriting was pretty.
Before I could change my mind, I quickly pressed the text button and sent him a message.
Hey, it's Naomi. :)
I regretted the text as soon as I sent it. Maybe the smiley face too much?
I tossed the phone face down on the end of my bed, damn near running laps over such a simple message.
Who wouldn't be nervous about texting a guy like him?
After a few moments, my phone dinged and I leaped for it, almost falling off my bed in the process.

Hey, it's Valen. :))
"Okay, okay be cool." I said, taking a deep breath- typing a reply as if I didn't spend ten minutes squealing into my pillow beforehand.
How are you?
Short, simple, to the point. Perfect.

Im good now that you've finally texted me. I thought you threw away the note or something.
I grabbed another one of my pillows and screamed into it, smiling and giggling like a schoolgirl that DIDN'T graduate high school three months ago.
I decided to change his name to something a bit funnier, it's not like he'd ever see his name in my phone anyways.
Just then, he did something that I'd never thought he would do.
