"Thanks for meeting me here." Alex shifted uncomfortably beside me, a nervous expression on her face.
I can't blame her, this definitely is an awkward situation. I'm sure the both of us would give to be anywhere else but here right now.
When I got back from the park yesterday, I could barely focus on the note that I found..because Alex went from blowing my phone up with text- to blowing it up with calls.
I told her that I'd meet her at her house and she insisted on talking outside so that we could have the conversation in private.
Which would explain why we sat on a cold bench, staring at each other and waiting on one another to talk about what happened.
Honestly, I just wanted to get in my car and leave.
"I didn't have much of a choice, you blew my phone up for days Alex." I snapped slightly.
She looked down at her lap, a slight blush coated her cheeks.
Today her hair was back in its usually curly state, she wore knee high boots with jeans and a distressed sweater.
The weather was gloomy and the cold breeze nipped at our skin, which was confusing- seeing as it was just sunny and hot as hell yesterday.
I was dressed in Ugg boots, sweats, and a hoodie.
You could obviously tell who was anticipating this meet up and who didn't give a damn about appearance.
I looked Alex over once more.
Her lips were pouted slightly and her eyes were a warm but watery hazel. Her face was lightly coated with a bit of makeup. Enough to achieve that "I tried, but not too hard" type of look.
I guess she knew that she'd leave here crying. And based on how this conversation goes, it's either going to be tears of acceptance or tears of sadness.
Maybe a bit of both.
"Yeah, I know. I'm sorry about that. I just.." she trailed off, taking a deep breath and turning to face me.
"I just needed to talk to you. And I know that I should have respected your boundaries. So I sincerely apologize." She looked me in the eyes and I could tell the apology was sincere.
"It's not okay, so I won't say it is. But I acknowledge your apology." I leaned back against the bench seat and leaned my head back, looking up at the sky.
"Why did you kiss me?"
It was a question that even I didn't know the answer to..in the beginning. One that needed an explanation.
"I wanted to see if I would feel what I used to feel whenever I looked at you back then." I turned my head towards Alex, but she was already looking at me with an excited and somewhat hopeful expression.
I already knew what she was going to ask before she asked it, so I continued talking before she could get the chance.
"That fluttery feeling, at the pit of my stomach that you used to give me. The one that made me inwardly blush and long for your gentle caress."
