Several days later...

I walked down the street. The lights shutting off one, by one. I lowered my bike in the corner of the block and continued onwards.

I stopped in front of the house, as if it were the first time I've seen it. It was empty, no cars and every light turned off, save one light in the second floor. I walked onto the lawn and peeked through the window.

I saw Allison, she had just finished putting on her pajamas and was just getting ready for bed.

I stared intensely at the wall, after everything that happened, I could climb the wall no problem. I stopped halfway in my tracks and I looked at my cracked watch.

2:43am, its late...

I looked away and walked back to where I settled my bike, before taking one long look back at Allison

She gets prettier every time I see her

After everything that happened, returning home was like a traveler who had returned to his old hometown, waiting to bask in its warm embrace.

I carefully opened the door using the spare key we keep hidden in the stairway. And walked up the stairs, relieving myself of my clothes which felt like a heavy sack, weighing me down.

I walked past my mom's room, strolling my hand past the white door, feeling the emotions she felt when I left.

Tomorrow, I'll explain... I promise

I open my room's door, like dad's study, mom had boarded it up and made sure no one would be able to open it, but it was easy for me.

I looked at my naked room, where the walls wore posters and drawing, they were bare. And where my sheets were, bubble wrap was. It looked like no one was here for ages.

I sat down on my desk, took out a piece of paper and a ball-point pen. And started writing.

Dear Allison.....

I haven't slept at all, but I wasn't tired. I left my room early in the morning and picked up the clothes I left on the stairway and took a quick shower.

I heard my mom leave as her car engine pulled away from the driveway.

I dressed myself up in dark jeans, dark sneakers, a white tee and the jacket Jose gave me.

I waited in my room, my mom didn't know I was here. I waited there like a puppy in a shelter, hoping he'll be adopted.

I left my house and went to school and waited outside, with the note in my hands.

Halfway there, I stopped and bought roses. I would need them, after all the trouble I caused, I needed an ice breaker.

I sat down in one of the benches in front of the school and looked at my watch, 2:49pm.

Soon a bell rang, and the entire student body flooded the patio.

I stood motionless, my head high above everybody else. I clutched the note and the roses tightly in my hands.

I waited till the patio slowly became vacant.

I saw her, placing her science book in her bag. I walked slowly to her, but stopped halfway in my tracks.

I saw someone come next to her.

WHO'S HE?!?!

I had a faint memory of him, then it came to me. His name was Marcus . He and I were in the same class a few years back.

He still looked the same. Long dark hair, tall and skinny and tan skin like me but with better facial features.

Even though they were far away, I could hear them as if they were next to me.

“Hey, babe.”

He tried going in for a kiss, only for Allison to press her fingers against his lips.

"I don't think so." She said, as she walked away.

Her suitor followed her, still attempting for that kiss. After all that happened, I wouldn't mind taking his life as well right now.

I kept my distance away, only far enough for Allison not to notice me, but also close enough to see Allison kick him where the sun don't shine and say 'No' once more.

I'd be lying if I didn't admit this gave me some pleasure. Both seeing Marcus in pain and seeing Allison kick ass.

As Marcus pick himself up, Allison slapped him hard enough to fall back to the ground.

OK, that's enough fun for me.

Marcus picked himself up and I walked towards them, just passing Allison and tapping Marcus on his shoulder.

Allison was surprised to see me, but I was more focused on Marcus.

"Hey man, you okay?"

"Yeah, I guess. This bitch was -"

And suddenly I punched him across the face. It felt like nothing, but I both felt and heard his jaw go CRACK!

He laid on the floor, spitting blood and caressing his jaw. "YOU DICK! YOU BROKE MY JAW!"

"That's too bad, now scram before I break your manhood."

He whined, and quickly ran away with his tail between his legs.

I turned to face Allison, who had a stern expression and her arms crossed. "Any reason why your here?" She said sternly and angrily.

"Well, I'm here for that date you owe me." I said cocky and confident.

The stern expression on her face quickly faded and she smiled.

I took her hand and brought her closer and kissed her.

"I love you." She smiled as soon as I uttered the words.

For once, things seemed right.
