I needed answers.
And there was only one place where I could get them, Blackwing. I don't know what it was or meant, but if anything, they should have answers. So I picked up my laptop, and combed through the files, hoping to find something. Every file was in a letter format, meaning it must have a return adress, meaning I could find some answers.
''Ugh!'' I smacked my laptop in anger. Every letter's return address was censored, meaning I couldn't....
An idea hit me. What if what I needed wasn't in the files, but in my father's study. It was a stretch, but my father's study was always cluttered so it is possible I would find something buried in there.
I heard a door slam, my mom left. I didn't blame her, there was alot in her head, but there was even more in mine. I stepped out of my room, and slipped into my father's study. There were boxes there, looks like my mother was doing some spring cleaning. This would make things easier, hopefully my mother didn't throw out what I needed.
I searched throught the boxes for nearly three hours, my mom hadn't returned yet, and I was getting worried about her. I hit the jackpot, a folder in a box labeled 'Work'. In the folder, there were files with the BlackWing emblem on it. Best part is they weren't censored like the other ones, well at least not all of them. I kept searching for a file that could help me, some didn't have what I searching for, others had stuff I didn't understand. I found what I was looking for, a manila envelope with files inside.
I sneaked everything back into place, and found something new on the mantle behind my dad's desk. It was a picture of me as a little kid, my father and grandfather on a fishing trip. Underneath it was a red rose, I held the frame and spoke softly, holding back some tears. ''I miss you dad.'' And placed the frame back down.
I took the manila envelope and left the room, promising not to go back in there.
I sat on my now-naked bed, looking through the envelope. There were letter here concerning the US army and NYPD. Again there was a mention of BlackWing and NYPD being called a 'supplier for what will change the world.'
My father was mentioned here as a decorated officer of NYPD and a record of how many criminals he caught. One thing that really caught my eye was file concerning the number of criminals that have been sentenced to life and death.
I couldn't find how all this fit together, and started to feel stupid for thinking I could find how or why my father died or even that my father could have died due to a government conspiracy. But just then I found a letter to ESU talking about a drug they have developing for some kinda or performance enhancer and it being rejected by the FDA.
I couldn't put the pieces together but only one thing kept bothering my mind, why is my father's name in these files? How did he fit in all of this?
I needed answers.
Only one thing mattered to me right now. Allison.
