Ps- ji ms
Hm made Ks sit in the car and ps sat behind.. Hm drove hurriedly to the hospital.. she was equally tensed and worried as Ks but she had to stay strong looking at Ks' condition..

Hospital:
They reached the hospital and were sitting outside the operation theatre.. all of them were silent.. ps was consoling Ks and hm was just staring into space blankly ..
The doctor finally came out..
Hm- sir theek hain na?
Doc- vaise toh vo theek hain... par ab tak hosh nahi aaya hain.. aur agar unhe kal subah tak hosh nahi aaya toh..
Ks- amma toh kaaa?!?!
Ps- shaant ho jaiye.. kehne dijiye unhe..
Ks- doc sahab please bataiye .. bhaiya hain vo humaare!
Doc- hum keh rahe the ki agar unhe Subah tak hosh nahi aaya toh hume dar hain ki vo coma mein chale jaayenge..
All- kya???
Doc- ji.. ab aap bas prarthna kijiye.. hum chalte hain..
Hm- ji shukriya..
As was shifted to a normal room and they sat outside the room .. no one had words.. they just sat there quietly .. Hm got a call from headquarters ..
On call:
Hm- jai Hind sir
Dig- jai Hind Hm.. dsp kaisa hain?
Hm- sir vo dsp sir theek hain par unhe hosh nahi aaya hain ab tak..
Dig- hmm aur Ks?
Hm- jab tak dsp sir ko hosh nahi aa jaata vo kaise theek ho sakti hain sir..
Dig- Hume laga hi tha.. darasal hume unse kuch kaam tha par vo kaam karne ki halat mein nahi hain iseliye Hm ye kaam ab aapko karna hoga ..
Hm- kya kaam hain sir?
Dig- kuch files urgently complete karni hain.. aap headquarters aa jaaiye aur ye kaam aaj ke aaj hi khatam kar dijiye..
Hm- lekin sir yaha dsp sir aur Ks..
Dig- miss mallik... dsp ko jab hosh aana hoga tab aa jaayega .. aur Ks unki behen hain iseliye hum itne bhi pathar dil nahi hain ki unhe kaam par bulay.. lekin aapka dsp ke saath toh koi rishta nahi hain na.. toh aapko bula rahe hain.. and that's an order!

Hm was hurt when dig sir said that she had no relation with As.. she loved him.. but dig was right.. at that moment she had no relation with As.. then suddenly she had a very disturbing thought... she thought that maybe she won't be able to tell As how she feels .. a wave of sadness hit Hm but she had to go .. cause as they always said 'duty first'..
Hm- pj.. dig sir ka call aaya tha.. hume kuch kaam se urgently headquarters jaana padega.. aap yahi rahiye Ks ke saath.. hum duty ke baad aa jaayenge..
Ps-ji ms..
Hm- ks ka dhyan rakhiyega.. aur Haa dsp sir ko hosh aaye toh turant hume message kar dijiyega...
Ps- ms.. aap bhi apna dhyan rakhiyega.. hum jaante hain aap par kya beet rahi hogi aur is halat mein bhi aap kaam karne jaa rahi hain......
Hm- pj duty first.. farz sabse pehele.. jai hind!

It was night and cc and ss were still in the thaana.. Ks and ps had changed into civil clothes and still in the hospital.. Hm had finished her work and changed into normal clothes and had just arrived at the hospital..
Ks was sitting on a chair outside As' room and ps was near the idol of shiva kept at the end of the corridor .. she was praying for As..

Ps- jai Hind ms! Aap kab aayi?
Hm- bas abhi abhi.. Ks kaisi hain?
Ps- subah se chup chap vaha baithi hui hain.. na kuch khaya na kuch bola.. humne bohut koshish ki fir haar maankar yaha Shivji se baate karne aa gaye..
Hm- aur aapne kuch khaya?
Ps( nodded her head in no)
Hm- ye kya baat hui pj.. aap ek kaam kijiye.. ghar jaakar khaana khaaiye aur araam kijiye.. aaj raat hum yaha ruk jaayenge Ks aur sir ke saath...
Ps- lekin ms...
Hm- lekin vekin kuch nahi pj.. Hume dikh raha hain ki aap kitna thak gayi hain.. jaaiye ghar and that's an order!
Ps- ji ms.. lekin hume pata hain ki aapne bhi kuch nahi khaya hain.. upar se aap kaam kar rahi thi.. aap bhi kuch kha lijiye ..

Hm went and sat next to Ks.. Ks saw her sit but didn't say anything ..

Ks- chinta kaisa na kare ms!Aapke liye kehna bohut asaan hain ms par aapko kaa pata ki humpar kya beet rahi hain! Arre bhai hain vo humaare! Bachpan se hume choti si bhi Chot lagti thi na toh vo hume doctor tak le jaate the! Ek kharonch aane par pura din hume bistar se nahi utarne dete the! Aur ab vo andar bistar par pade hain aur hum kuch nahi kar pa rahe! Kaisi behen hain hum! Aur aap kya samajh sakti hain ms? Aapke liye toh bas ek senior hi andar pade hue hain na.. aapko kaa hain .. kal naya dsp aa jaayenge.. aap kaha pyaar karti hain anu bhaiya se jo itna chinta kar rahi hain?! Aap yaha aayi hi kyu hain? Aapko ka farak padta hain bhaiya uthe ya na uthe?! Hum yaha hain apne bhaiya ke saath.. aapko apne samay barbaad karne ki koi jarurat nahi hain ms..aap please jaaiye yaha se! ( Ks ranted out all her frustration and worry in one go with tears in her eyes)
Hm had tears in her eyes too.. she just got up and walked away.. just then ps called Ks..
On call:
Ps- kuch khaya ya nahi?
Ks- nahi
Ps- aur ms ne?
Ks- Kaa matlab?
Ps- kya kya matlab.. Arre ms ne bhi kuch nahi khaya hain.. upar se vo kaam karne bhi chali gayi dig sir ke call par.. aap bhul gayi kya ki ms aur dsp sir ke beech bhale hi filhal koi rishta na ho par pyaar hain.. jo abhi aap par beet rahi hain vahi ms par bhi beet rahi hain.. ek min ek min.. aapne unhe kuch ulta seedha toh nah bol diya bina soche samjhe?
Ks- amma hum aapse baad mein baat karte hain..
Ks hung up the phone and realised what she had just said.. she felt very bad now.. she didn't realise that hm loved As too and was equally worried.. in fact she had been restless and worried from the past 3 days.. she got up and started running along the corridor in hope to find Hm.. but hm was no where.. Ks thought that hm had already left the hospital.. she came back and sat on the chair she was sitting on earlier with her head hung down and face in her palms (hands)
She regretted each and every word she said to hm and on top of that As was still unconscious.. even her husband was not in town who could morally support her.. she felt all alone at that moment...
Just then she felt a familiar hand on her shoulder... she looked up and was shocked to see...
