Chapter 25

After a while of talking you guys actually started laughing and having kind of a good time. You however still needed to come to a decision before you left.

You looked back out the window once you realized your choice was going to either be the saving of your pack, or the destruction of it. Lucifer noticed the distressed look in your eyes before setting down his glass.

"I'll give you more time to think about the offer, and in the mean time why don't I take you out for dinner this Friday. You'll have time to check on your pack and think about the decision and when you come back it won't be as.... intimidating," Lucifer offered you as you sat there for a moment. You let out a short sigh before nodding.

"Splendid, I do look forward to our next meeting then," he said before standing up. He offered his hand to help you up but you just smiled up at him, set your glass down, and got up yourself.

"Goodnight Lucifer," you said calmly before walking over to the elevator and pressing the button for the first floor. Lucifer watched as the doors closed and you disappeared behind them.

When you got back to your hotel you basically collapsed on your bed and fell asleep.

~ Back on Asgard ~

Odin, Frigga, Loki, Amethyst, and the king of the light elves all sat down in the dinning hall to discuss wedding plans. Loki was extra out of it while everyone else talked and discussed the wedding stuff he didn't care for.

"So it's done then, an heir will be born?" The king of the light elves asked. Odin and Frigga waited for both Amethyst and Loki's answer but Loki wasn't paying attention. Amethyst looked over at Loki before looking over at her father.

"Yes, we made sure of that last night, father," Amethyst said with a smile. That's when Loki looked up, he put his elbow on the table and covered his mouth before rubbing his eyes in frustration.

"Loki, is it true?" Odin asked his son. Loki stayed quiet for a little while before Amethyst slowly placed her hand on Loki's arm. He looked over at her with a glare before looking over at Odin and his mother.

"Yea, sure," Loki said before slowly getting up and walking out of the room before Amethyst got up to follow him.

"Loki please stop," Amethyst pleaded as she followed him through the halls of the castle.

"Why, so you can tell me how much you care, how much you want to be with me. Well, I guess not all things are meant to be princess, because I don't care and I don't want to be with you. But I must because if you want to be happy then that's all that important, my emotions and wants, and others emotions and wants are immediately thrown out the window as soon as you open your mouth," Loki said with a death glare. Amethyst stopped in her tracks as tears filled her eyes.

"Is it really so bad of me to want love, to feel as though someone might care," she asked Loki as tears streamed down her face.

"There are others who deserve more love than you will ever get," Loki said before walking away from her. She stood there dazed as a flash of anger crossed her features.

"You still love that woman from Midgard, that dirty monstrous beasty wolf," Amethyst yelled at Loki not noticing her father, Odin, and Frigga walking up behind her.

"You dare speak of her that way you mewling quim-."

"No, I am Princess Amethyst of the Light Elves, how dare you speak to me that way, if I have to get the werewolf out of the way I will, and there will be blood shed if I get my way," Amethyst yelled in anger and sadness before turning around and standing in shock as she seen all three rulers standing right there. She laughed nervously before turning back to Loki in frustration.

~ Back on Earth ~

You slept pretty well that night, for the first time since Loki had left you slept well. It was already past 3 in the morning when you left Lucifer's building and the morning sun was slowly coming up. You decided just to sleep in a little bit and you slowly closed your eyes again.

After another few hours you opened your eyes to the sound of shuffling around. You fluttered your eyes open to see the Avengers just sitting around doing normal things. Playing on their phones, eating snacks, and talking. You stretched and yawned before looking over at all of them.

"What are you guys doing here?" You asked them before throwing your legs over the side of the bed and getting up.

"Came to check on you," Tony said as he started going through your phone.

"What the fuck are you doing?" You asked him as you jumped up towards him. He jumped away before having Thor stand between you and him.

"Who's Lucifer? Seems like a douche bag," Tony said with a smirk.

"That's none of your business," you said before trying to grab him. Thor put his hands up as he tried to move away but Tony kept following him.

"Another alpha, hmm?" Tony asked you with a smirk.

"It's pack business, you would not understand," you said before grabbing his hand and then ripping your phone from his grasp. They all looked at you as you closed your phone and looked back up at them. "Some of his pack members went missing, his sister and his niece were two of the people who were in the lab we found a few weeks ago," you said making up a lie.

They all looked at each other before looking back at you.

"We can't give him their bodies if that's what your asking," Steve said which made you look over at him with a funny look.

"Any why not, he's their family," you argued.

"S.H.I.E.L.D won't permit anyone from going down into the morgue," Clint said as he started fiddling with one of his arrows. You looked at them confused before looking over at Natasha. She was avoiding your gaze.

"What about my brother?" You asked them with a worried expression. They stayed quiet before tears started to fill your eyes. You blinked them away before looking away from them.

"Well, that's news, but I'm afraid I need to check on my pack and that means you guys probably need to leave," you said holding your head high. They all sighed before getting up and saying their goodbyes before leaving the room. When they all left you sat down on your bed and thought for a little bit. You were still tired but you needed to check on your pack. You still had two days before your Friday dinner with Lucifer.
