Julia bought takeout at for us at Charley's. The dorm was surprisingly quiet. "Where's your roommate?"
"She's on the couch, sleeping..." She says, now whispering.
I spot a girl with dark hair. I couldn't tell if it was dark brown or black hair because it was so late at night, pitch black.
"Why is she on the couch?"
Julia looks down, snorting. "Oh... well I had a friend, Akau, who I met when in my college class... he came over to say hi and accidentally... broke my roommate's bed,"
I couldn't help but laugh.
"So, how are you?"
"Really good. Making awesome progress..."
She puts on an amused face. "I'm impressed. In high school, you were so low output," I laugh.
I actually made that up in high school. I wanted to impress Julia that I could do anything, even if it took really 'bad' grades, despite my straight As.
"So, have you heard from Lei?"
She nodded. "Yeah. But she's been a real bitch lately for some odd reason..."
"Oh,"
I know Leilani. She's been my best friend since first grade. She never acts like that.
After we talked for what felt like hours, I got up.
"It's getting late, I better go-"
"Oh no! You can stay here if you want," Julia suggested.
I shrug. "One night is not gonna kill me... besides, I'm not in a rush going to my dirty roommate,"
Julia laughs.
"You know what I got?" She asks.
"What?"
She pulls out two red plastic cups.
"This came from a frat party that I went to with my friend Laurie. I didn't drink, but I wanted to get something for me and my roommate, but since she didn't wanted to drink it either, you can have it,"
I take one of the cups.
A fruity beach smell was around the cup. Julia's perfume is more of a floral style, so I know that it wasn't her. It could be her roommate's perfume.
It smells... nice.
The smell of beer was worse than the perfume, but the taste wasn't as bad. I choked a little at first.
"You okay?"
"Yeah," I beat my chest with my hand, handling the burning feeling. My throat felt enflamed.
She laughs. "That's okay, you'll get used to it..."
After a while of drinking, my head starts to feel really dizzy and scattered.
That's nice.
