I look at the time and it's 5:00. Dylan will be over in an hour to take me to the fair. What should I wear? I dig through my jean drawer and pull out a pair of blue skinny jeans and slip them on. I roll them up a bit and slide on my black converse. Ok, now I just need a top. My eye catches my grey and white baseball tee in my closet and I grab it. I take my comfy shirt off and put that one on. Next, I put eyeliner and mascara on and I'm done. I grab one of my small purses and as I start putting my money and phone in it the doorbell rings. I look over at the clock and it's exactly 6. Wow, that hour flew by.

"Kacey!" My mom yells from downstairs. "Dylan's here!"

I smile. "Ok!" I look at my reflection in the mirror and head out of my room.

When I get to the top of the stairs, Dylan is standing at the bottom of them talking with my mom. He sees me and smiles. I walk, no I run down the stairs and hug him.

"Hi!" I say to him.

"Hello!" He tells me and kisses my forehead. I blush because I know my mom's watching.

"Are you ready to go then Kace?"

"Yep I'm ready!" I say with excitement in my voice.

"Ok you two have fun tonight." My mom tells us.

"See you later, love you." I tell my mom. "Bye dad!" I yell to him in his office.

"Bye honey!" I hear him respond.

Dylan and I walk out of my house hand in hand and towards his Jeep. He opens the passenger side door for me, "My lady." He says.

"Why thank you." I laugh.

Once we're both in the car he starts the engine and we're off. The fair was only 15 minutes from our houses, so we just talked on the way there. We arrive and Dylan parks the Jeep and we walk over to the entrance. I open up my purse about to take my money out when Dylan grabs my hand.

"Oh no you don't." He says. "I'm paying."

I pout but then give in. The person in the booth gives Dylan two wristbands and we help each other put them on.

"So what shall we do first?" He questions me.

"Um how about we just take a walk around first, get something to eat, and then we can play the games and ride the rides."

"Sounds like a good idea."

We take a loop around the fair hand in hand watching everything. We saw this little kid win a fish at one of the games and it was the cutest thing ever. We watched as people raced down the giant slide seeing who would win. Everyone at the fair seemed so happy to be there. Once we decided we were done watching everything it was time to eat.

"What would you like to eat?" Dylan asks me.

I look around and I see a food truck selling chicken fingers, aka the best food to ever exist.

"CHICKEN FINGERS!"

"How old are you?" Dylan laughs.

I hold up 4 fingers then drag him over to the truck.

"Hello, what would you like sweetie?" A nice old lady asks from inside the truck.

"An order of chicken fingers please." I smile at her.

"Make that 2." Dylan says smiling.

"Now who's the 4 year old." I say and elbow him and we both laugh.

"I'll wait here for our food, why don't you find us a seat?" Dylan asks.

I look around and I see an unoccupied picnic table only a few feet from the food truck, so I walk over and sit on it. I see the lady handing Dylan our food and I hear her say, "Is that young lady your girlfriend?"
