Love Is Easy (A Dylan O'Brien Fanfic)

Chapter 10

I look back over to Dylan and Maya, and she is still blabbing her mouth. How does she not see that Dylan isn't even looking at her?

"How about we go over there and save Dylan from boredom?" Tyler says to me.

"Yeah, that sounds like a good idea."

Tyler and I head over in Dylan's direction and he sees us and mouths, "Thank you." Maya didn't even notice. We reach Dylan and both of us go on each side of him, and Maya finally stops talking.

"Hello Maya." Tyler says.

"Hi." She glances at Tyler, then her eyes land on me. "Who's she?"

"Maya, this is my new neighbor, Kacey King." He smiles at me and puts his arm around me, and I smile back at him. "She just moved here from Atlanta."

"Hi, it's nice to meet you." I say in my nicest tone, because I have a feeling she already doesn't like me, and the fact that Dylan has his arm around me doesn't help.

She looks at Dylan, then to me, and back to Dylan. "What the hell Dylan?" She turns around and storms out of the office.

"What was that about?" I say and look up at Dylan.

"I don't know. She's crazy."

"I don't think she likes me."

"She doesn't like a lot of people. Hey let's see your schedule!"

"Oh yeah here." I give my schedule to Dylan and Tyler looks over at it too. A bunch of mhmms and other noises come out of their mouths.

"Good news! You have first and second period physics with me and Tyler, you have third period English with me, fourth period lunch with us, and sixth period economics with Tyler. The only bad news is that you don't have fifth period math with either one of us or eighth and ninth period gym. And seventh period you have study hall with neither of us which is fine because it's study hall. Oh and remember every other day your first and second period physics switches with it looks like photography and your eighth and ninth period gym switches with cooking, which you have with Tyler and I."

I just stand there trying to get all this information in my head.

"I know it's confusing, but believe me, you get used to it." Tyler says and smiles.

"Alright." I smile at him. "But how do you guys have your schedules memorized already? It's the first day of school."

"We get our schedules emailed to us a week before school starts." Dylan says. "Come on Kacey, let's take you to your locker before we have to go to physics."

The walk to where the senior lockers are isn't that confusing. We just had to take a right out of the office and walk down a long hallway.

"Well here it is." Dylan says and shows me my locker.

"There's Jesse! I have to go! I'll see you two in physics!" Tyler says with a smile on his face. "Bye guys!" And Tyler was off.

I look at the sheet in my hand with my locker info on it and try to open it and I do.

"First try!" I say to Dylan as I'm opening my new locker.

"Wow, you're a natural." Dylan smiles and leans on the locker next to mine.

"So who's Jesse?" I ask Dylan.

"Ahh, Jesse Singer. Tyler has had a crush on her since sophmore year. Hopefully this is the year he finally asks her out."

"Aww that's so cute." I close my locker when out of nowhere a loud bell rings. "What was that?"

"That was the five minute warning bell. First period starts in five minutes. Come on let's head to physics." Dylan says and puts his hand on my back to guide me. I am used to him doing this now and I look at him and smile as we walk to physics.
