~Later~
The Princess and the five children walked back to the location where their tents were, feeling happy and yet relieved. They couldn't believe that Aslan just spared Edmund's life rather than putting him to death. The children couldn't be more thankful to the great lion.
"I can't believe Aslan decided not to have me dead!" Edmund said.
"Yeah!" Dawn perked up. "And Peter and my prayers did come true." Peter nodded. "It did." He agreed.
"So...what's next?" Susan asked Esther.
"I think we should get some rest." Esther said to Susan and the others. Everyone agreed. Just as Dawn was about to go to her tent, Peter stopped her. "Yes?" Dawn turned her attention to him.
"I can't let you fight." Peter sighed. The others stopped too.
"What? W-why?" She asked.
"It's too dangerous and I'm scared for you." Peter said. Dawn groaned.
"Well, I can use my voice to fight the Witch's army with my headphones." Dawn replied. "I know it'll drive them away." Peter sighed. "I'm sorry, Dawn, I just can't."
"Huh?" Susan raised her eyebrow.
"What's going on?" Lucy asked her brother and her friend.
"I'm not letting her fight." Peter told his siblings.
"Why not?" Susan asked him.
"Because she may get hurt." He said.
"Then who's fighting and who's not?" Edmund asked. Peter sighed. "Me and Est are." Esther looked at Peter. "But-" Peter looked at her. "I can't let them fight." Peter interrupted. Esther frowned. "That's not fair, Pete!" She was close to angry and no one wanted her to get angry.
"But why?" Dawn asked, but this time more worryingly. "I don't want something happen to you! I can't break the promise I gave to my father!" Peter looked at Dawn. "I can't risk getting you killed."
"I don't want to lose you either, Pete.." Her voice cracked. "What about Aslan? Is he coming with you?" Esther looked away when she asked that. Peter nodded. "Yes." Dawn nodded, but she burst into tears, fiddling her grandmother's gold crucifix chained around her neck. Peter sighed and hugged her.
"I want to fight alongside you and Esther.." Dawn cried. "I couldn't help myself losing you!" Peter ran his fingers down his girlfriend's hair. "I don't want to lose you either." He whispered. Dawn kept crying in her boyfriends arms. Her tears drenched onto his leather tunic. Esther then sighed. "Maybe she can fight, but she has to stay close to you, Peter."
Peter turned to Esther and then looked at Dawn. "If she promises to stay by my side...."
"I promise you, Peter." Dawn sniffled. "I just want to stick with you even in this struggle, despite our parents' disapproval." Peter gave her a soft smile. "Good." Dawn slightly smiled and hugged her boyfriend again. "I just don't want to lose someone I love..." she said. "I love you..."
Peter kissed her forehead. "I love you more." He whispered.
"No, I love you more." Dawn said.
"I love you most." Peter smiled. The other children and Esther chuckled a bit but they also cried a little seeing it. "What about me?" Edmund asked his brother. "Will I be fighting too, along with Esther?"
Peter sighed. "Fine, you all can fight."
"Just make sure we all stay together." Esther added. They all nodded. Lucy then yawned. As the children went into their tents, Lucy walked up to the Princess to have a little word.
