Once Tubbo and I make it back into L'manburg, Tubbo sadly walks into his bee dome. A place he goes when he wants to think and have some time alone.
I decide that I'd go back to Quackity's house to check up on him. I'm sure he's awake by now.
I step into the warm wooden house and take off my jacket, hanging it up behind the door.
"Hey, what happened?" Quackity asks, referring to the reason I left earlier. I run a hand through my hair, taking a seat next to him on the sofa.
"Tubbo took me to where Tommy was staying during his exile. When we got there it was all blown up and there was a huge wooden tower built. But there was no Tommy."
Quackity widens his eyes and pulls me in so that my head is resting on his shoulder. He strikes my hair to try calm me down a bit.
"You don't think..."
"Honestly I'm not sure if he jumped. I did see a pair of footsteps in the dirt leading away from Logstedshire but that might not have been him." I tell him and he looks down at me as I lean further into his shoulder.
"But just in case he is alive, please don't mention this to anyone. If Dream finds out he's alive, things won't end well. Especially if he finds out I know anything." I finish and Quackity nods, placing a gentle kiss to my forehead and wraps an arm around me.
We stay this way for a while until we hear a knock on the door.
"I'll get it." I say, walking up to the door. When I open it, I come face to face with a man I wish not to see.
"Dream." I spit out his name, standing in the doorway, blocking his entrance to our home.
"Y/N... it's good to see you."
I scoff, folding my arms over my chest. "I wish I could say the same for you."
"Oh don't be like that Y/N. We're friends, are we not?" Dream questions but before I get to reply, I feel a pair of hands on my shoulders.
"Everything okay here?" Quackity asks behind me, trying not to act suspicious. If Dream finds out our plot to kill him, things will end terribly for us.
"Quackity! It's good to see you too." Dream says but Quackity only nods. Dream looks between the two of us and points to the bandages on our faces.
"What happened?" He asks, obviously knowing what really caused these wounds.
"Oh, it was just a little accident." I throw him a sickly sweet smile and he hums in response.
"I see... anyway, I just wanted to ask you a few questions." Dream starts, stepping into our home. Quackity gets visibly angry at him trespassing so I grab his hand, holding it in mine to calm him down.
"Has anyone left L'manburg in the past few days?" I shrug trying to play off the question.
"Not that I'm aware of. We've been stuck here healing. There's nothing I'd need to leave L'manburg for anyway." I lie through my teeth.
"Right. It's just that, Tommy went missing from exile the other day. I don't suppose you've seen him anywhere have you?" Dream asks, checking around the house in every small area, probably thinking that my brother came to hide here.
"No. What do you mean he went missing?"
"He was supposed to stay where I put him during his time in exile. It's for his own good. Unfortunately, he ran away. Now I'm trying to take him back."
So he did run away. Smart boy.
"Well sorry to break it to you but neither of us have seen him." Quackity speaks up as Dream finishes up his search. We lead him over to the door and he steps outside before turning back to face me.
"Ok. If you find him, let me know. It's not safe for him to be in a nation where he was exiled from."
Dream walks away and I clench my fists. This was all his doing. We need to hurry up with the festival plans and pronto. I'm sick and tired of that smug green bastard thinking he rules over everyone.
"Are you okay mi amor?" Quackity places a hand on my cheek and I lean into his touch. I nod my head and stare into his eyes.
"What did I do to deserve you?" I ask with a smile and he chuckles lightly at my question.
"It should be me asking that question." I smile at him, placing my hand over his.
Moments later, I see Tubbo in the distance leaving his bee sanctuary. I look at Quackity and gesture to the boy in the distance.
"I should go talk to him. Make sure he's okay."
Quackity nods and allows me to walk over to Tubbo. On my way there, I pass Niki who gives me a wave.
"Hello Y/N! How are you doing?" She kindly asks, handing me a cookie which I gladly accept.
"Thank you Niki. I'm holding up okay. Things have just been a little rough recently is all." I give her a soft smile and she nods her head.
"Well if you ever need anything, you know where to find me."
I thank her once more and finally make my way over to Tubbo. He's sitting on the roof of a small building so I climb my way up, sitting next to him.
I break the cookie in half which Niki gave me and I offer half to Tubbo who gives me a weak smile before taking the cookie.
"You know... things might seem bad at the minute Tubbo. But things happen for a reason. The events life puts you through shapes you as a person. And you're a fighter Tubbo. You always have been." I smile at him as he eats his cookie.
I sling my arm over his shoulder, messing up his hair like I used to do to Tommy.
"Thanks Y/N."
We stare out onto the grassy land, watching as people walk around but I feel Tubbo tense up.
"What's wrong?" I ask and he stares out in front of us, looking at something. Or should I say, someone.
"Tommy?"
