SUNSET ON THE EAST SIDE//Quackity x Reader

Chapter 45

"We have to fight as a group! Everyone round up at the bee house!" Tommy exclaims as we all file in, grouping together to fend off the withers.

But it doesn't work.

"Guys we have to get out of here!" I yell as I try my hardest to protect Quackity who has no armour on at all.

We run as fast as possible, dodging explosions whilst fighting the withers. They fire multiple explosions at Tommy as he runs behind us.

"Tommy run!"

"Get to the caravan!"

I drag Quackity inside, soon to be followed by Tommy, Tubbo, Ranboo and Captain Puffy.

But the explosions don't stop. We are sent flying out of the small caravan as a large explosion hits tight on top.

I feel my back hit a tree and for a moment, my vision gets hazy. I see a blurry outline of someone running towards me with blood dripping down their forehead.

"Come on Y/N! You have to get up! Please!" Quackity pulls me to my feet and I try my hardest to shake away the pain, balancing on my feet once more.

"Let's go. We have to-"

I'm cut off when another explosion happens. This time it's larger.

I look up as I see TNT falling from the obsidian grid above us and my eyes widen.

This is it for L'manburg. There's no saving it now.

"Shit! Run!"

We begin dodging explosions as we try find our allies to regroup. But as we run over to Tubbo, he is sent flying back, just like me before.

"Tubbo!" Tommy yells but stays back, trying to avoid the TNT.

"We have to leave now!" I grip Quackity's hand and grab Tommy by the wrist but he yanks it back.

"I'm not leaving without Tubbo! He's my best friend Y/N!" He yells and I nod my head, bringing him in for a quick hug.

"Okay. Just be safe." He nods in response and goes off to find Tubbo.

"Look at your country fall Tubbo! Look at it fall!" Techno yells over all the noise, laughing. I get angry, running over to him.

This time, my full body glitches and I feel myself get angrier than I ever have.

"Fuck you Techno!"

I feel my whole body let out an explosion, sending him flying backwards as I watch him, completely unharmed.

I laugh darkly and run back to Quackity who once again interlock our hands, rushing away from the explosions.

As the TNT continues to explode, we all watch from the sidelines as Tommy and Techno speak. Tubbo stands with them in the middle of the debris.

Techno begins firing firework rockets at Tommy who continues to dodge them as best as possible, despite his lack of energy.

I bite my nails in anticipation, hoping that him and Tubbo will survive at least since there's no hop for L'manburg now.

"They'll be alright Y/N." Sapnap places a hand on my shoulder. In the corner of my eye, I see Quackity give him a glare but I ignore it, giving Sapnap a quick nod.

"Thank you Sapnap. I'm grateful for you putting up a fight with us today."

We draw our attention back to Tommy and Techno who begin fighting among the debris and ruins of what remains of our home.

"What is that?" Quackity points to a fire in the distance.

The L'manburg tree is sent up in flames as a person stands with their head helf high, holding a salute.

Niki and Ranboo.

"That's Niki... she's- she's just set fire to the L'manburg tree..." I say in complete disbelief.

And after all this time, I thought it would be the right choice to fight for L'manburg. Now I wish I took the same path as Ranboo and Niki to not take sides. He's smart and I should have listened.

I watch in pain as the TNT completely explodes the Camar van. The last original piece of L'manburg sent down into the crater we once called a home.

I feel my eyes well up with tears as Quackity pulls me into his chest, comforting me as much as possible.

"Shhh... Y/N let it out. It's gonna be okay. We have each other and that's all that matters." He soothes me, running his fingers through my hair and rubbing my back gently.

"That was our last real memory of Wilbur. Now it's gone forever... just like him."

Techno and Tommy continue to argue back and forth until Tommy runs towards the now burnt down tree with Tubbo.

We regroup with Tubbo and Tommy where the tree once stood.

"It's supposed to be here." Tubbo says and I look down at the ground, knowing that it will never come back.

"It's gone. Everything is gone. Everything we put up a fight for is gone!" I scream out into the open space.

Everyone goes quiet as we listen to the explosions around us, watching and knowing that there's nothing that can stop it from happening.

"It's all gone."

"No. No, No! It can't be gone!" Tommy exclaims in disbelief but continues to stare out into the void of ash.

"It's no use Tommy. It's all gone." Quackity says, still holding me close for comfort. I place my head to his chest, allowing myself to calm down to the sound of his heartbeat.

He looks at me, softly placing a kiss to my cheek then forehead. He pulls me into a side hug as we watch the last of the TNT fall onto the already large crater.

In the distance, I see Techno running away with Philza and another person. Of course Dream was involved. He always is.

We all stand staring at the giant death hole as nothing remains of our old home.

We raise our hands into a salute, standing tall and proud for all that we decided to fight for. Now it's gone.

"I guess history does repeat itself... it was never meant to be..."
