Quackity and I spend days planning ahead for when the perfect time comes to pay Dream a little 'visit'. Since Sam and I still aren't exactly on speaking terms, Quackity went to talk to him instead.
While he does so, I find myself aimlessly wondering around the smp since I felt safer there now since Dream was locked up.
I make my way over to the community house, sitting on a small hill just across the small pond which the community house rested on.
I admire all the scenery and wildlife roaming around the area, closing my eyes as the sun hits my face in a peaceful way.
I found myself doing this often. It helps with shaking away unwanted memories. It reminds me that I'm not tied down by strings like some sort of puppet.
"Hello Y/N!" A voice echoes next to me and I smile.
"Hello Ghostbur. Long time no see." I laugh as he floats next to me. He fiddles awkwardly with the bottom of his mustard colour shirt.
"I'm sorry." He says out of nowhere, confusing me greatly.
"For what? You've done nothing wrong Ghostbur." I smile slightly as he floats closer to the floor next to me. Almost as if he is 'sitting down'.
"Tommy..." is all he says and at that point, reality comes back to hit me in the face once more.
"It's... okay. He's probably in a better place now. He never did deserve what this world did to him." I give Ghostbur a small but sad smile, standing up an walking in the direction of Tommy's home.
I pull a few red and white roses from the ground as I walk closer to his house, standing outside of it to admire the memorial of his life.
I gently place the red and white flowers in the front of the memorial, admiring them. They remind me of the shirt that he would always wear.
I feel a gentle but cold hand placed on my shoulder. Ghostbur floats behind me and I give him a small nod as a thanks.
"Well I- uh better get going. I'll see you later Y/N!" Ghostbur smiles, leaving to walk towards where L'manburg once stood.
I refuse to even step foot in that direction. Instead, I make my way towards pandoras box to check if Quackity had finished talking to Sam. But before I get there, a familiar hooded figure calls me over.
"Hey muffinhead! I was just looking for you." BadBoyHalo walks towards me with the uplifting spirit he always has.
"Hey Bad. What can I do for you?" I ask trying to be polite, despite me just wanting to be left alone.
"Oh! I came to give you this." He smiles, pulling out a small invitation which was written on a crimson coloured paper.
"What is this?" I take the invitation, reading briefly over the gold coloured writing.
"It's an invitation to the Red Banquet. Don't tell anyone about this event... it's a secret." He hesitates for a second, his eyes slightly flashing a red colour but I shake my head.
I'm probably just seeing things.
"And why is it a secret? What's so important about it that it has to be a secret?" I ask, genuinely confused.
"It doesn't matter. Just wear something red and fancy. Hope to see you there!" He exclaims, walking into his and Skeppy's house.
Why is everyone acting strange recently? Is it something to do with that god forsaken egg? Maybe I should go to this banquet. I might find out more about how to get rid of the egg which seems to be growing.
I look around at the blood vines which have been growing across the whole area. I admire one of the small vines which seems to be moving ever so slightly as if it's still growing.
I curiously walk towards it, bringing my axe off my back just in case.
I walk closer to the vine, watching its movements carefully. It moves in a slow motion before coming to a complete stop. The end of the vine turns to me slowly.
What the fuck?
Suddenly, the vine lashes out towards my ankle but before it can reach me, I swing my axe down, chopping the end of the vine off.
Alright. We're definitely gonna need to get rid of the egg.
I pant, trying to catch my breath after being caught off guard by the vine.
"You alright?" Quackity laughs slightly, walking over to me with a smile. I nod my head, giving him a quick kiss.
"What's that?" He asks, looking down at the crimson paper which I completely forgot I had in my hand. I quickly tuck it into my pocket like it's nothing.
"It's just something I found when I was at Tommy's house." I lie, knowing that he'll probably believe me.
He nods, placing an arm around my waist as we begin our walk back to Kinoko Kingdom.
"So how did it go?" I question him about his talk with Sam.
"I'd say it went well actually. Sam agreed to let us in to 'talk' with Dream. He's in our side Y/N." Quackity reassures me and I nod.
"I still don't forgive him though." I state as Quackity pulls me closer to his as we continue to walk.
"I know. But you trust me right? Which means you should trust him. He won't let anything happen to us and if he does... I'll make sure that payback will come his way." Quackity smiles at me as we walk back into Kinoko Kingdom.
"So when did you both plan for our first trip to see Dream?"
"In a week maybe. He's always gonna be around so he told me we could come in whenever." He tells me and I nod, waking into the house. I take off my shoes and jacket, sitting comfortably on the sofa.
"Why does everything have to be so complicated?" I ask as Quackity sits next to me, holding me close and kissing the top of my head gently.
"I don't know Y/N. I wish I could give you the answer."
