After yesterday's meeting, I started to come up with ideas for the festival. We obviously can't use the same method as Schlatt since Dream saw the whole thing.

We need to so something that he won't see coming.

I screw the piece of paper into a ball, throwing it into the pile of already thrown paper balls which sat in a clump at the other side of my room.

I sigh, turning back to my desk wondering why I was put in charge of this. Quackity would probably come up with some good ideas but I guess it's my fault for making him get rest. He did take more damage than me during the fight after all.

I pick up my quill and get back to writing but I stop just before the ink hits the paper.

"Tubbo?" I whisper to myself as I see him walking at a fast pace towards my house. He has tears staining his cheeks as he tries his hardest to wipe them away.

I stand up quickly but unfortunately wake Quackity up from his sleep.

"Y/N? What are you doing?" He asks with a deep, sleepy voice. I quickly take his side by the bed, brushing my hand through his hair.

"Nothing my love. Go back to sleep. Everything is fine, don't worry."

But is it fine?

He nods, falling back onto the bed. His eyes close once again and I stand up, rushing downstairs to open the door for Tubbo before he gets here.

Just as I do, the boy wraps his arms around me, clinging to me for dear life as he cries out in emotional pain. His tears stain my clothes but I push that aside, wrapping comforting arms around him.

"Hey, hey... What's wrong Tubbo? What happened?" I whisper, not wanting to wake up Quackity or make Tubbo more distraught than he already is.

"H-he... H-he's dead Y/N!"

I pull away from Tubbo, wiping the tears from his eyes. I gently place my hand on his right shoulder in an attempt to comfort him.

"Who Tubbo? Who's dead?"

"Tommy! He's dead Y/N!"

I feel my blood run cold. He can't be dead. That's impossible. He may have been exiled but he knows how to look after himself.

"Tubbo... What makes you think he's dead?" I softly ask him. He sniffles and tries his hardest to hold in his cries.

"I... I went to visit him in Logstedshire. T-The place where he went during exile. He's not there Y/N." He tells me and I place a hand over my mouth. This still doesn't exactly tell me why Tubbo thinks he's dead.

"Take me there. I need to see for myself."

Tubbo reluctantly nods, knowing that I shouldn't be going there after Dream threatening me. But right now, I don't care. All I care about is my brother, despite him not knowing that we're not related by blood. He's still my only real family.

Tubbo and I walk over to the nether portal which stands ominously as purple particles flow out from it. We step through and I immediately feel the extremely familiar heat.

We walk over bridges and across large pools of lava which are below us. We continue for another two minutes until we come across the second portal which will leads us to where Tommy was in exile.

I go to step through but Tubbo seems hesitant, staying back.

"Tubbo I don't know what's through this portal but you need to stay with me okay? Safety in numbers." I tell him and he nods slowly, following me through the portal.

"What the fuck..."

My jaw drops as I examine the sight in front of me. I'm not sure what this place looked like before but it surely wasn't like this.

"What happened here?" I whisper to Tubbo who shrugs his shoulders, stray tears still running down his cheeks.

I walk over to a large wall area built up from logs, expecting to find something which could lead us to find Tommy.

But all I see is ash and blown up ground.

"This must have been Dream. It always is. He's the only person who would pull some shit like this." I tell Tubbo who can only stare back at me.

He tries not to make eye contact with me but I step directly in front of him.

"Tubbo it's okay. We'll find him. Obviously Dream got to him first but I'm pretty sure he escaped. But where do you think he would have gone?" I ask Tubbo who emotionlessly points behind me.

I turn to see an extremely tall ladder made of wood which was built so far from the ground. If someone were to fall from a height such as that, they would come to an instant death. No exception.

"You don't think..."

"Where else would he have gone Y/N? He was my best friend... and I exiled him. Look where that got him." Tubbo begins to cry once again and I pull him in for a tight hug, knowing the pain he is going through.

"Oh god..."

I feel my eyes begin to water but I hold back the tears for Tubbo. He's going through so much at such a young age. So did Tommy.

Tubbo places his face into my shoulder, crying harder this time. I close my eyes, feeling a tear run down my cheek as the soft breeze drifts part us.

When I reopen my eyes, I look behind Tubbo as he still sobs into my shoulder. I squint my eyes, looking at a suspicious print in the ground.

Is that... a footprint?

I take in a sharp breath as I still try comfort Tubbo.

As of right now, there is no strong evidence that my brother is alive. But that footprint is facing the opposite direction to the portal.

What if he ran away from exile? That's a strong possibility. Tommy is a strong fighter. He wouldn't have just given up so easily.

I pull away from Tubbo, placing a hand on his shoulder, leading him back towards the portal home.

"Come on. Let's go home."
