"You really don't have to take off, Fiat. Who'll replace you at such short notice?" Leo says, but hopes for Fiat to stay with him. Apparently, when Fiat said he was taking off, he meant for his day and night job.
"They will manage. I do have someone who either replaces me one night or share the busy ones. She's almost as good as I am," Fiat grins.
"She?" Leo questions feeling a bit concerned. He is aware that Fiat has interest in men with the thanks of Type, but females are a territory he does not know.
"Yeah, her name is Lisa. She's a younger than us. She's in graduate school now though, so she has less night shifts. She's can be both a pain in the neck and a sweetheart. Me and our chef always make sure to look out for her when she is working," Fiat chuckles as if he is recalling a memory.
"Seems like you guys are close. How come I haven't seen her?" Leo speaks bitterly.
"Well, she'd be working tonight to cover for me, but she usually works tomorrow and the day after. We switch off on Friday nights. The only reason we do that is because most people go to the clubs than that bar. If you didn't notice, it's not really for socializers," Fiat rubs his chin as he leans back on the couch.
"Oh..." Leo trails off, suddenly deciding that he needs some wall decorations. "Is she pretty?"
"Type said she was when he first saw her. She is also popular with customers. It's usually for a different reason than mine though. She doesn't need a trick to gather people. She's a real people person. If I hadn't known she wanted to be in an office job, I would have assumed this was the perfect job for her," Fiat nods. Leo's frown becomes more prominent as Fiat talks. "Why are you frowning?"
"I didn't ask what other people say about her. I'm asking you. Does she even know your real name?" Leo tries to find where he has the upper hand. His arms cross over his chest and he huffs. Maybe the fever medication has really hit him this time. He does not know where the sudden confidence is or why he is so openly nosy.
"Well, I guess..? Yeah, she is quite pretty. She's got the dark brown hair, but her eyes are hazel. I can't say much more as she usually just wears black clothes per our dress code and the bar lighting is not the most flattering," Fiat looks at Leo with speculation. "Does it matter if she does or not? I've only ever introduced myself to people at my work as First. The only people that would know my name from there are my employers who read my resume."
"Good," Leo grins and leans closer to Fiat.
"Good?" Fiat raises a brow.
"Yes, good. I like knowing that I'm the only one from the people I've met or heard of that knows," Leo turns on the couch and lays his head onto Fiat's lap with a content sigh. "Just let me lay like this for a bit. My head started hurting."
"It does? Should we go to a doctor? You just recently took your medicine again," Fiat immediately checks for Leo's temperature in worry. It makes Leo smile and he hums when Fiat begins to massage his temples. "Is this okay? Does it hurt?"
"It's perfect. No doctor visits needed. I just need you," Leo tenses before quickly relaxing as he realizes his bold words. He does not know how, but ever since he returned and reunited with Fiat, he had definitely become a lot more bolder than he usually is.
Leo keeps his eyes shut and relaxes when Fiat gently presses his fingers against his scalp. "How do you think we would be if you never left?"
"Probably the closest two people could get," Leo says. Maybe then I would have had a chance to confess and not feel such distance as I do now.
"You don't think we would have gotten tired of each other?" Leo can feel that Fiat is deep in thought as he starts gently rolling the locks of hair between his fingers.
