Most of the time that was supposed to be spent cleaning was Jax explaining what happened with Hope to Lizzie. The cleaning was actually done by MG. Kaleb had joined them not long after they started and hadn't done a single thing. Jax and Lizzie were too occupied talking that they didn't even think about cleaning. It felt good for Jax to get all of the feelings off of her chest about what happened the other day. She no longer had to hold it in and let it slowly build up until she would have eventually exploded.
By the end of the conversation, Lizzie was the one who wanted to explode, "And she said all of that?" Jax nodded with a hum. "What a bitch." The two girls stood in front of a spray-painted window. Kaleb stood beside them as he watched MG clean the words, 'SALVATORE IS 4 LOOSERS,' off the window... And yes, it was spelled exactly like that.
"It's like..," Jax let out a sigh. She found herself getting tongue-tied, not really sure what to say next. The blonde tried her best to come up with the words to describe how she was feeling, "I get that she was upset, I just expected her to apologize by now. Everything she accused me of was not only untrue but also really hurtful. The only thing she's done is be passive-aggressive with me."
When Hope and Jax were a lot closer, they rarely had fights. When they did, it would always take a while for one of them to apologize. Hope usually apologized the next day or the one after, but the apology had yet to come. Jax was starting to worry that it would never come. If Hope hadn't done it yet then would she ever do it? Jax understands that Hope was angry that Landon left, she did. That didn't give her the right to go off on Jax like that. It's not like Jax could have stopped Landon and Rafael from leaving, she wasn't even with them. They got separated!
"She's not even being that-" Lizzie's gaze moved to MG and she cut off her sentence. Lizzie sighed, "Come on, MG, any slower and you're be going in reverse." The girl didn't hide her impatience. She placed a hand on her hip as she stared at the vampire with annoyance. Jax just stared at MG with a guilty look. She hadn't even tried to help him and it made her feel bad for throwing all the work onto him.
MG stopped, turning to Lizzie, "Look, I'm doing the best I can without vamping in public." Jax nodded to herself. Cleaning at the school was a lot easier since they could just use their powers to get it done. Doing the same out here would be a terrible idea. People walk around in the square all the time and there is no doubt that they would notice someone cleaning a window at inhuman speed.
"That's just plain pitiful, bruh." Kaleb scoffed.
"Well, at least he's trying," Lizzie moved her annoyed gaze to Kaleb, "I don't see you pitching in."
"Exactly. You've been sitting there the entire time doing absolutely nothing." Jax added. She and Lizzie weren't much better though. To be fair, Kaleb rarely ever helped out with this kind of stuff. He found it all so boring and not worth his time which meant that he wasn't even going to try to do it.
